Not a Joel Little fan, but this sounds good considering his previous work.

Love the drum programming and that's it.

New album is called Lover.

New single You Need to Calm Down should be out at midnight.

Is she making efforts to be as generic as possible? Is it intentional or ironic?

Scott Borchetta sold Big Machine to Scooter Braun. Now he owns all the Taylor Swift masters.
She wrote a Tumblr entry complaining about the deal. Everyone's giving their impressions about it.

Hopefully something will happen after this.

So... People who know Scooter are on his side, people who don't are touched by Taylor's words.
Everything comes down to fact checks, they know their truth, we don't.

In theory artists should be allowed to own their masters, but if Scott in his statement was telling the truth then Taylor's words are completely discredited.

Some years ago, it was almost impossible to own your own master recordings because you needed a big amount of money to get these records done.
Nowaways, it's not like that, but when you're an unsigned artist and get your deals with no guidance you do mistakes like this, just like Kesha and her 8 album contract.

And for example, why do you see the names of a-list artists on their records when they get their songs through publishers or A&R's or writing camps?
Industry standards have to change.

Bob Lefsetz wrote insiders say she knew everything but didn't want to pay for masters at all that's why she left the label for a worse label with a worse contract and now she's mad at herself. And it's all because she has no college education.

Scott Borchetta was head of Big Machine and she was her first signing.
I absolutely agree about ALWAYS having close people who you trust but publishing deals is another topic, way more complicated.
I agree about the emotional connection to your own songs but, do a contract take your songs from you? If a big company invest in your career, I agree about getting your money back and a bit more, but these contracts are abusive. Industry standards are abusive.

Taylor's will re-record her catalogue in order to own her masters.

JoJo did the same thing after years of negotiations with Blackground records about her two first albums, same with Toni Braxton's Libra.

At first listen: BORING.

I only liked one song: the Dixie Chicks featured.

Isn't this song the definition of BORING?
