You definitely know his work: since 2008, Martin has had number 1s every year. Even in his lowest performing year, 2013, he still had two. But not so in 2017.

I can't say that many of these songs billboard.com/charts/year-end/2017/hot-100-songs (https://www.billboard.com/charts/year-end/2017/hot-100-songs) will last for years. And earn money one year later.
