I can guarantee you that neither has Karl as the birth name. Swedish registrations are public with a noted given name, being Johan for Shellback and Martin for all mighty Max :) It's not uncommon in Sweden that the first name in order isn't the given name. Seems to be extra common with Karl. I don't know why!

Probably parents meant King Martin and King Johan.
