Up until now i've done it the old fashion way.. listening to a lot of new music and trying to emulate them and keep up with the times...
But id like to know if there is a faster way to get my hands on some nice information..

Forums, websites, channels, blogs etc. ?

Hit Songs Deconstructed was pretty good at dissecting songs and sometimes Genius has something nice too..

Listening to old music music.

Everything from now is heavily inspired from something that's already been done.
For example: current trend is late 90s music. Listen to that.
