Title: Jörgen Elofsson writing for German Idol
Post by: turnaround on April 30, 2007, 01:03:07 AM
Hehe, he will never stop, and I love it.

Next Saturday Martin Stosch will perform the song " I CAN REACH HEAVEN FROM HERE" written by Jörgen Elofsson and Anja Steinlechner, at the final of the German superstar series.

The chances are small he will win I think, as the other guy he is competing against seems to have more fans, but at least we can hear the song, and maybe he gets a single release too!

That's him!

I SO can't wait to hear it!

Oh, interesting--so, in the German version, each of the finalists gets their own original (as in not a cover, not as in written by them) song?

The song should be good to hear, and I like the title--hopefully it will show up on YouTube!

In the first 2 series both got the same title.
But since last show each finalist gets his own song!

Both are original songs, which makes me happy and so far I LOVED every single Idol song by Jörgen Elofsson and I am sure it will be a anthem!

I will post the link to the performance as soon as it's online! ;)

I think I won't watch as I am at friends and I don't think we will be in front of the TV. But if the single is good and he wins, I am definitely buying it!

I am pretty annoyed, the other guy is very likely to win :(

But last time, also the 2nd winner had a chance to release his single (a few weeks later) and it got also to #1, which would be amazing if this happens also this year, as it would give Jörgen his first German #1.  :D  :D

I'm sure this guy even if he comes 2nd will be able to release his single. I hope so anyway.

I'm really surprised, Jorgen's never had a No 1 single in Germany?

I can't think of a song that might have made it.
BSB, Britney had #1, but it was all Max's songs.

It's about time, if you ask me!  :smt007

Yes, you are probably right. Britney's Sometimes would not have made it to No 1, either probably Westlife.

Jorgen had a massive No 1 hit in Australia with first Idol winner Guy Sebastian with the song Angels Brought Me Here. It was No 1 for 5 weeks and broke many sales records.

So, it's about time it happened in Germany too!

I love that song by Guy. So wonderful.
I think I am going to compile a list with all the Jörgen Idol songs one of these days. It's just incredible.

That's so exciting.
The newspapers mention Jörgen Elofsson and if you enter Elofsson in the Google News search you get lots of entries speaking of him and his success.

YAY :D  :smt054

I just saw Jörgen on German TV in the studio!

Post by: Rebecca on May 07, 2007, 02:05:22 PM
Hi, I had a listen to the song. I don't love love it - to me it's a bit of a typical Jorgen dramatic Idol ballad, however, I would probably like this song as I listen to it more. I like it how there is the word 'angel' in the song! Jorgen really loves the word angel! I prefer when Jorgen does the more upbeat songs.
Martin is a nice looking boy and has a very nice voice - I really hope him and this song is a success.
Keep us posted on the success of this song on the Charts!

Oh I definitely will.
Thanks for your statement.

Yes, it's absolutely Elofsson by numbers, but well I love it that way and so I couldn't be happier with the song.

And considering the studio version will contain autotune vocals I am sure it will be sounding even better, with the orchestra etc.  :)

I have to say I don't like it. And I'm not saying that cause I badly wanna disagree with you! *lol* I really don't like it.
Even though I have to admit I only saw the tv live performance yet and heard the snippets at musicline.

Except for the fact that by now I'm getting really really tired of the ever-repeating-always-the-same Elofsson Idol ballads I think his voice (live) totally didn't fit the song. The way he sang it was fine and he surely has a nice voice. But I think the song and his voice just don't match. But most likely they computer-re-worked his voice for the studio version, so that'll sound better! I'll buy the single for the sake of the INSTRUMENTAL VERSION (<== here's your chance malcolm)!!

I got called to do Jury service, and i couldn't get out of it. Pardon my french, but i am fucking sick as a chip! It went on for over a fortnight. I haven't had a minute to myself. I have my own business, so i have been coming home from the court and working 'til really late in the night. It has been such an inconvenience.
I need to reply to Jules (i wasn't being ignorant) just aint had time to scratch my friend.
I'm listening to Lee Ryan Army of Lovers at the moment, what a great bit of music that is!
You guys over in Europe are very lucky, i would say only 1% of singles released here in the UK have instrumental versions. There was a really big record fair in my city on Friday, and i was hopeful of finding some of these european released singles there, but i was stuck in the god damned court!
Jules, i trust you will see this, i will reply to you in a week or so. I have a ton of work to do, and i go on holiday on sunday for a week.
I'm going to Stockholm in July to see the Who, i'm there for a couple of days, so i was thinking of checking out the maratone and old cheiron studios, maybe see if i can get a photo of any of the guys. Does anyone know the addresses of the studios?

Hi Malcolm

It's great to hear from you! I've been wondering where you've been.
I'm sorry you've had to go to Jury Duty and then still having to work long hours in your business and you're sick too!

That is fantastic you're going to Stockholm (I'm jealous!)

Have fun on your holiday in a few days. Make sure you tell us all about Stockholm in July.

Thanks for the address guys. It would round a perfect trip off if i got to meet Max! I will tell all of my July trip after i've been.
Hopefully it will be a good holiday, relaxing and fun, and a bit of an unwind, hopefully there might be a concert or two to go and see!

I meant main land europe. We are on our own a bit here us brits, we certainly get completely different single and often album releases. I think the charts work differently in mainland europe (sweden, denmark, germany, belgium etc etc). I think that is why we get different releases here. THe only thing that attaches us to europe except for those damned politicians is a ridiculous tunnel. :D  :D  :D  :D

There is a "Support Martin" thing going on at a German magazine's website.

His single is at the manufactors and could be out within a few days obviously but so far he has not yet a contract.

Here you can add a message and show your support, and the list will given to SonyBMG

http://www.yam.de/Unterstützt_Martin_Stosch.html (please copy and paste)

Feel free to write something or just put your name there if you want

Makes sence.
I checked our database at work and was wondering about his single.

It's been on order status for like 3 weeks now. Release date isn't shown and the status is already set to "deleted". The order of the 2-track single was cancelled couple days ago. Looks like (if at all) it's gonna be only the maxi.
Also amazon has set the release date to "unknown" (they set it to 2007-12-31, which is what they usually do if it's yet unknown).
