how about changing the thread title or starting a new topic?
note: haven't read your posts since I don't wanna have any info about the upcoming release yet
Cirkut continues working alone.
Mm, Daft Punk is a hit and miss since 10 years ago.
Continues? Does that mean he worked alone lately?

What a energetic song.
This is amazing. So... this is the real Cirkut? This is him without Luke's input?
Love the song "Starboy", but the video.....
The video side of the music industry is a dark, sick place man....(with a few exceptions: video for "Closer" Chainsmokers video is cool). But this Starboy video? Asphyxiation by plastic bag? Illuminati cliche "rebirth" BS? Disgusting, and not only disgusting but these sick directors are total creative idiots with zero originality, using the same themes in countless videos. After seeing this, lost all respect for and interest in "The Weeknd" for pushing this s**t on kids.
God. weeknds new stuff in my opinion is not even close to his other hits. not one producer i know likes starboy, and the new song is just WEeeeeiiiiiiirrrrdddd. like what are they thinking!!!
I was talking to a producer this past week in canada who know pretty much everyone and told me a bunch of cool stories. One was about cirkuit. before he moved out to LA to work with Luke, after he had that one track with spears, he couldn't get any deals, couldn't land any songs, nothing. for a really long time after that one spears track he had, he couldn't get anywork until he got connected with luke, who signed him to his company, they started working together, and the hits started flowing.

What an unique story! Secret info! Is it the coolest story from the whole bunch of stories?
Could be applied to everyone.
Stop surround yourself with negative envious people, Johnny.

Interesting post.....enjoyed it and didn't find it at all negative :-) I like "Starboy" though, but couldn't stand the preview of "False Alarm" 😨 Maybe it gets better later in the song? 😉
Preview? The song is already out, and I think that False Alarm is better than Starboy, I enjoy the high energy of the chorus and how upbeat is, which is much higher than any hit released this year.

I'm aware that it's out. But like an A&R who turns a song off if they don't like the first few measures, I never listened to it 😼

A short film features the songs from the new album; you can clear her the Cousins involved songs ;)
I absolutely adore Ali Payami.
don't think any of the songs in Mania is by Max or Ali though ;D
Sidewalks sounds sick.

The song I thought it was a Cousins' track is Secrets.
Produced by Don McKinney, Cirkut and Sir Dylan.
The album overall is great, specially Secrets. Max and Ali's songs are most of them great, except Ordinary Life, which is quite a disappointment, such a good set of writers with Cirkut but kinda weak.
Rockin ::) ::) ::) ::) ::)
Seeing Cirkut all over this album raises question marks for me.
Since Cirkut and Dr. Luke work together so frequently, I think it is very likely that Luke worked on the album to. But to avoid any negative publicity they agreed not to feature his name in the credits directly.
Instead to 'hide' him under Cirkut for now, since the whole Ke$ha thing is a little to fresh.
I think 'Secrets' really has that Dr. Luke feel to it for example.
Oh and before you comment ''Thats stupid bla bla bla,, they would never do that bla bla'' Just remember I also correctly predicted Taylor Swift's contribution to Calvin Harris' - This Is What You Came For, long before it was anounced and nobody in here believed me then either. ;D
Anyway just a theory...
That D major chord that hits just before the chorus on "Secrets" is so dope!!!

You know? I don't think Luke is hiding.
I think he's doing business with Prescription.

He's on "Greenlight" (Pitbull) for sure....that guitar part ....keep hearing that song on the radio in stores in NYC :-)
I definitely get Luke vibes from Love To Lay.

Yes he's on Greenlight but he ain't keeping it a secret. btw Pitbull raps:
I got all the women getting naked, feeling like Luke in this thingWhich is kinda crazy. Not too respectful.

This is a reference to Luther Campbell (a record label owner & former rapper) who is more commonly known as "Uncle Luke" from Miami. (http://genius.com/Pitbull-greenlight-lyrics) Lunchmoney Lewis & Flo Rida are from Miami too.

1) The chord progression leading up to that chord is totally different.
2) It's not even remotely a "sample". I don't care how many blogs wrote that: the production on the part I'm talking about is completely different. Was it inspired by them? Sure-- but it's not used in the same spot of "Secrets" chord progression.

Well baby, I went down and got it for ya: the members of Tears For Fears are in the credits, as well as the members of The Romantics, for their song "Talking in Your Sleep".
Secrets interpolates the lyrics in the chorus.
So...
I would like to add: some time ago, there was a remix contest with the official stems of Pale Shelter by Tears For Fears.
It makes sense if they got the sounds from there.
First, my name's not "baby", second i wasn't f***ng talking about lyrics. Thanks !!!

The only collaborators that Luke can count on today are R. City, Cirkut and his Kemosabe's artists... But the Theron brothers only released one collab with luke (and hopefully 2 with fergie) and then they worked with the monsterz for meghan, then it's the first time Cirkut worked alone, Becky G didn't work with Luke in this whole year and Max either in two years.
I think Luke is slowly dying, and he didn't even make hits in the last 2 years.
Don't get me wrong, I think that sucks but It's hard to deny that his career it's ruined.

I could have a whole conversation over Max+collaborators lyrics.
I absolutely adore Rockin, love the sound design.
Michael Jackson would be proud.
