So far we know:

QuoteUltimate Music are saying, via a Billboard article that doesn't actually mention the name of the single, that it's called 'Chained To The Rhythm' and that Skip Marley is involved (Perry was banging on about his new single the other day). It's also saying it's out on Friday, which seems likely given the Grammys is two days later.

according to a report from HDD, "Chained To The Rhythm" is produced by the famed Max Martin ("Rise" and nearly every monstrous pop song in the last 20 years) and co-written by Sia ("Double Rainbow").

And I liked it..

I'm sure this is not produced by Max alone.
Press always give him credits and forget his creative crew.

Rebecca

I'm excited about this! that snippet sounds great.

Definitely has that Sia vibe, with a little of Original High + 1989

If you replace TOH with Starboy then you're right. Sounds like a mix of Style, Rockin' and I Feel It Coming.

Sounds really awesome.
It really does :-) The prechorus is especially great, love chorus too though. Really good feeling on this song.

Is this the beginning of upcoming Sia and Max collabs? The song is very promising.

The song is fantastic. The bridge, outro, and drop out is the best.

CTTR pre chorus = Style + Rockin' pre chorus lol

The chorus lyrics bother me.

Don't really like it, that means, I'll love it in a few weeks. At least now we know why "Katy" promoted Skip haha ...

But yeah, how the last chorus comes in after the Skip part really makes the song. Makes me almost fall in love with it while typing this haha :D

This is really hypnotic. Still sounds like an album track to me.

But maybe she does not release the strongest song as the first "single" as she did it with Prism neither.

Probably this won't go to no #1. Ed Sheeran is too strong right now.

And I liked it..
