Great song, I love the music he makes. It's always fresh, has great melodies, production. But the videos? I've been wondering why any artist is willing to loose an audience making videoclips like that. I'm far from being homophobic but I don't see many straight guys sharing those videos on their social media. What do you think about that?

I hardly watch any music videos. This one I started to watch but was bored and the flashes irritated me. So I closed it.

But the song grows on me with every listen. I think it's pretty perfect.

The funny thing is: Grant Singer is a VERY respected film maker and the video is precisely a statement about being queer and be OK with it, which always has been a point during his career.

He's been a supporter of LGBTI+ issues since day one, so it's funny -and a bit awkward as well- to read your comments.
But it's OK :)

I love the song, BTW.

They meant promoting the rights has nothing to do with a boring plot and an irritating flashes.

I got curious about the "respected"  film maker ad checked his worklist (http://grantsinger.com/worklist/). Flashes, halos, blurs, shaking camera, very short shots are his style.
I agree with this. Respecting the rights and thinking it's an ugly video are different things. I don't think it's sexy nor empowering. But it's nice noting that people on the community speak out.

In this interview he mentions Max.

But of course no guarantee that he worked with Max directly and that these songs will be on the album.

EDIT: It took me a while, but those deep claps/snare reminded me a lot to Lady Gaga's Dance in The Dark produced by Fernando Garibay back in 2009.

Plum -produced by Oscar Gorres- is GREAT.
The three Wolf Cousins songs are the best ones.

Next time: a full album produced by Oscar Görres. Co written with Allie X and Leland.

What I Miss Most by Calum Scott or Time is Not On Our Side by The Vamps would have sound great with Troye's vocals.

Not really feeling the Bram Inscore production.
And Ozgo puts lots of detail in the sound.

Reminds me of a move made by Ilya, where he shows off at the end of Ariana Grande's Bad Idea.

The sounds are totally different, don't get me wrong. They just make a similar artistic choice.

Well, it's not that different to me.

Travis Scott did it recently on Sicko Mode, which are basically 4 beats in one piece of music.

And Oscar can't help about showing his jazz influences, same thing with the Allie X album.

I hope this becomes a future trend for producers to have more instrumental breaks in their music. Mostly in songs today, it's all busy with the vocals but having a chance to groove to the surrounding music is just like having a cigarette break on your lunch shift at work. Lets you enjoy what they created even more, take the saxophone solo at the end of "In Your Eyes" by The Weeknd for example.

Artists are taking risks in terms of structure: that's why I put the Sicko Mode example.

Bad Bunny did it many times and now one of those compositions is trending on Latin America with no promotion, it's like a reggaeton megamix.

couldn't agree more with this. Instrumental breaks, especially at the end to close out a song are so fantastic and just make you jive out

Yes, let pop fill that in. Otherwise those EDM guys might be coming back to the charts to do it, but they are already done :-X Calvin Harris 2012 and 2014 album singles also capitalized on this "need"  - that the listener seems to have at times - perfectly. For me, personally, those instrumental moments give my imagination a kind of free role to go wherever it wants. With lyrics there are boundaries.

Yes, but you are refering to Sicko mode, which is a rap song. In that field you are dealing with a whole other level of attention that you have to control in a different way than a pop song, so it isn't the right example. And to be trending in latin america? Come on, we are on a Cheiron forum, it's all about billboard ;D

Ethnic markets (no offense, but that's how the charts guru Guy Zapoleon refers to it) are not of primary interest for record labels. The record labels recently made a bald move, however, with Beyonce's song brown skin girl to conquer Africa, but it didn't work as well as I suppose they had hoped for. I followed the charts for that song in Nigeria. It's a very intelligently, executed, good song (albeit with a touch of racial priding). But average songs (which had more of that 'ethnic color') were doing much better. But hey, i'm going too much off topic now.

Does anyone care about "record label interests"? And looks like Beyoncé doesn't care about selling records since 2013.
She doesn't need to and she proves it doing what she's been doing since her self titled album in 2013.

Amazing amazing amazing

The chorus melody hit me like a Mac truck. That F# G# B G# B synth part- so euphoric, a little 90s cheesy power ballad. Striking chord progression, it really "lifts"

Thought it was OZGO at first. Jason ain't playing around with this production. Vocal melody is ace too

also -

Troye's pop vocal delivery is so on point. The little vocal flare/melisma going into the chorus is very Cherion ("back to lii-ii-ii-ife").

Also appreciate the full key change in the bridge, we also don't get that these days as much in pop music and is another 90s reference! This is such a banger.
