"Same Old Love" Benny Blanco produced, Charli XCX co-write:

I like this a lot. Digging that 'Somebody That I Used To Know' percolating production style, the formant shifts in the bridge, the mid-tempo, the catchy chorus. This sound works for Selena really well.

Her vocals are overproduced. It doesn't sound natural.

It makes sense into the aesthetic of the song, I think. A trappy kinda stuff.

I heard "take away your things and go" and sounds SO pitched.
I'd love to hear the Charli XCX version.

The song is out today.

Written by Selena Gomez, justin tranter, Julia Michaels, Robin Fredriksson & Mattias Larsson.

I highly doubt about these Selena songwriting credits... newcomers get placements with high profile stars due to publishing...

It's great there's so many really excellent melodies out there right now....this one and Tinashe "Player" for example. Very inspiring!
