Thanks, that's so cool to see our writers in the media! :D
Too bad it will onlt be in Swedish though....guess it's time to make twice as much efforts to learn the language! ;)

Rebecca

Thanks for the links, though I can't read Swedish.

Though does it say that Andreas's income was 599700 kronor in 2007?

*Sabine*

Yes, 600 000 kronor, that will do like 90 000 € no? It's a lot but still, I would have bet he earned much more :o What do you think?
Max must get at least twice as much as Bagge and Andreas, if not more...

Feelgoodlies

Oh I saw that once in his Webpage, I hope he produces something for one of the contestants.

600 000 SEK is about 64 000 EUR. You're correct in assuming he makes way more than that per year.

What he earns from writing and producing goes into his company or companies.

600 000 SEK is what he withdrew from his company or companies in Sweden that year for living expenses.

Oh ok, yes it's more relevant that way!
i'm shocked at seeing how much value the euro has taken compared to the swede kronor since i went there in 2004... still had my old change rate..  :D

Rebecca

That makes more sense Clabbelito, I thought 600,000kroner seemed a bit low!

An article in today's Expressen about Anders's, Andreas's and Laila's companies. Apparently their companies are not that sound and well-run...

The articled translated to English using Google Translate:

In today's episode of Idol there was a mini-feature on Andreas Carlsson.

He talked about the best way of making a hit song. Don't hold back or play it safe, was his opinion. Use your wackiest ideas, because wackiness is what people remember. It's better for people to either love or hate your song than to leave them indifferent.

He also revealed that the the opening guitar figure of "I Want it That Way" - one of the most memorable parts of the song, according to Andreas - was the very last thing they came up with when doing the overdubs. Sometimes the best ideas come in the very end, was his point.

*Sabine*

Oh very cool! So Idol has started already?
If you have a link to download the full show or at least some songs, please post it.. :) I'd so love to watch it!
So how is Andrea as a judge? Tough?

Rebecca

That's interesting what Andreas said about the guitar in I Want It That Way.

I also love the translation of that article about Andreas and Anders companies, it reads quite funny! but I can understand what they're trying to say. Very interesting.

*Sabine*

Oh great now I can see the translation! :D
Yes it's kinda funny but still very interesting! How cool to read brand new stuff on Andreas!

It's not perfect but Google translate is way better than previous web translators, like Babelfish.  :)

Andreas is definately the tough one. Not that he has had any temper fits or anything, but he is the one who tells the performers that they suck straight up. Anders Bagge is the funny and nice one. Laila is just bland.

Andreas has been most funny when crappy contestants have sung Andreas's own songs. An example:

"If I had given that song ("I want it that way") to you instead of the Backstreet Boys my life would be a whole lot different."

The contestant first thought it was meant as a compliment!  :D
