I think we can expect lots of Despacito soundalikes already.
That's been happening all this time, that's why I'm amazed on why Despacito was a hit (I mean worldwide hit) and not any other latin song that's been released in the last year or two.

Didn't like the song.

Any thoughts on Mi Gente?

turnaround

Too monotone. Does it even have a chord change?

And I liked it..

j.fco.morales

Damn, that's cool!
I have strong connection with her as well, like 100 friends in common.

I love her so much!

I think we will have a second latino boom sometime this year or next.
Reggaeton is taking over the sound of the productions.

Well, I wanted to say two things: https://www.idolator.com/7666810/j-balvin-willy-williams-mi-gente-next-despacito

Mi Gente video has 230+ million views.

And Despacito is the most streamed song in history: https://www.theguardian.com/music/2017/jul/19/despacito-most-streamed-song-of-all-time-luis-fonsi-daddy-yankee-justin-bieber

For the Despacito fans, this might be interesting.

Reggaeton + vallenato + pop, sounds like a hit.

Yes, this could also be a hit. But this time it's hard to tell. I don't think many songs will stand out enough for a world wide hit again.

It needs more than just Spanish language and a danceable beat to make it.
