Title: Agnes Carlsson
Post by: Out on December 28, 2007, 11:18:58 PM
Don't know where to write, but I think this artist deserves separate topic.
Well just read about new Agnes album "Small Chunks Of My heart" to be announced for March 20, 2008 in wikipedia.
Is there any information about Jörgen's or some other Maratone guys participation yet?

Cool interesting title.
I think it will take a time until we know more about the tracklist and writers but you can anytime open a thread for her.

Ok :) I think we'll get first single in the end of January or February. The album just after Melodifestivalen end... - maybe Agnes we'll be a jocker? :) She tried year ago, but as I remember reavelling that she will sing the song, she was disqualified, pity.

Hope she does something with the Epicentre,to be honest I didn't really like Joergen's work with her,I liked him with Marie Serneholt better.

but don't u think she always picks very bad lead-singles??..even 2nd single.

Absolutely agree, can't believe they didn't release Emotional. Though don't think it pretended to become popular in Europe, but it could become big hit in Sweden.
About singles - yes, I think all singles but Right Here, Right Now are weak, but on second album I can hardly say which single could be stronger than released ones.

Agnes would be a great choice for Sweden.
She deserves it finally.

I like the new song, it's a different kind of music, noone expected I guess, but still poppy.

As for Epicentre, as they told me, they have not worked with any of Swedish acts this year apart from Sarah Dawn Finer.

Her song is OK.

This kind of music is not my thing, I don't know but why all Swedish singers like Dance "fast-paced" songs :-\, a pop/rock would've been a much better music-style change for her and Darin ::)
Title: Re: Agnes Carlsson
Post by: *Sabine* on December 02, 2008, 10:05:50 PM
Dance songs are very a Northern Europe thing. I think the Dutch and the German enjoy it even more than the Scandinavians, more oriented to pop/rnb (as Max says :D )
Title: Re: Agnes Carlsson
Post by: Out on December 03, 2008, 12:04:24 AM
I'm not sure Scandinavians are oriented to r'n'b, but dance pop - yes, and that's why I adore swedish pop-music, they always find something fresh in it and you'll get a new rush of positive energy in this music.
Markus Fagervall and Marie Picasso had loads of pop-rock style songs, not every Idol-winner should go in this direction.
Well, we won't see Agnes and Marie Serneholt on MF in duet, but we now officially have Agnes with Anders Hansson "Love Love Love" and probably we'll get Marie announced as wild-card later this week. Good luck to girls!

Yes, Freed From Desire was excellent but so was Let a Boy Cry. They still play it a lot in Italian clubs I noticed!  ;D I love the 90's dance shits generally!

Alex, are you talking about this small blond French boy who was like 3 yo when he sang "Dur Dur d'être un bébé" ("Quite hard to be a baby")? Lordy, I hope you meant another one! :P HAHA

HAHA this song is so old! Vanessa was so young! I know Joe le Taxi used to be very popular abroad. That's about all the French songs you know in Italy though (with Alizée). The French music is not so great indeed but it's a pity you don't know other stuff which are much better IMO.
