First of all, you did very well. Good sound selection, it sounds very similar. Here are some tips:
-You are missing the solina strings in the chorus. I know there are strings in your chorus and they might be high cut solina strings. In that case open up the filter. Also try out panning one solina hard left and the other right and have some delay between them. this makes the mix much wider. I think the chorus will become much bigger if you widen that solina thing, especially since there are no vocals there, the extra width would be useful.
-The fade in effect that leads towards the chorus is too dry. It needs more reverb.
-The pre of the original does not have that formant "wow" sound.
-Drums: if i'm not mistaken I hear that you use an airy sample which functions as percussion or hat or whatever. In the original mix there are two sounds, one panned roughly 30% left and the other right. The left one sounds darker and has a slightly different pattern, and the right one sounds bright.
-Bass: the original slides downward(?) at the end of the pre.
-Guitar: the original has a guitar in the pre. Not sure, but might be an acoustic playing muted strings.
-Hit: the first hit when the chorus starts can have many layers. You can place almost anything there and in the end it is only felt, not heard. Place many things there, effects, piano's, guitars, don't be afraid to hard EQ individual layers. Just give it many layers and watch your limiter works when that hit comes in. It has to kind of fill up your frequency analyser dramatically. Then just back it off to give space for the vocals to cut through.
-Hit pre: add a crash.
