Shellback is pretty busy these days.
He is attached to the new No Doubt album and now to Icona Pop. Now, I wish some Max Martin stuff on those projects.
I love it!

Great news!!
Makes sense, great find! They seem to be so big right now.

Sounds like a Benny Blanco thing to me.
The song sounds amazing.

what?? this doesn't sound like Blanco ... I guess neither of "our" producers has been involved in this song, it's quite boring anyway.
Produced by Stargate according to a few articles online. Brilliant pop song and yet so simple. They have been workin with Benny in NY.
Anyone from Sweden can tell please if there is something interesting in here?

Sounds like it's played with live drums / percussion. However, it doesn't sound like a production of our songwriters. But if it's produced by one of them it's most likely Benny Blanco. Sounds a bit similar to Maroon 5's "Beautiful Goodbye" with the reggae vibe.
QuoteThe Swedish pop duo Icona Pop doesn't rest for a second! While we are still enjoying their worldwide hit "I Love It", one of the songs of this summer (although the song was released over a year ago), and even starting to get hooked to their new single "Girlfriend", Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo are preparing the next shot, entitled "All Night".
The duo has been recording the official video of this new track this week and it was directed by Marc Klasfeld and produced by Rockhard. The song will be the second single taken from their first international album "This Is..." that's scheduled for release in American market on August 27 via Atlantic Records. The single is planned to be released in July 23.

So excited about the Shellback songs. We haven't heard something by him for a while!

your right, its all live keyboards and drums.
but not sure if she lip syncs :D
Seems like this is Jarrad Rogers+Shellback's (http://atrl.net/forums/showthread.php?p=15559118#15559118) "In The Stars".
And here's another new song (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3LOpzpdD_IA), I can guess it's called something like "And We Kiss" :)

I quite like the first one!

New single "All Night" is out (https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/all-night-single/id675507051)!
And details of international album release are revealed here (http://ohnotheydidnt.livejournal.com/79845355.html).
Haven't listened to the Swedish debut. Is it that bad that they replace almost all songs?
And is "Light me up" a buzz single only?
Should be soon on iTunes, and we know what Shellback did.
Their local release is the best Swedish album of 2012 to me but I guess it's quite not what I Love It fans would expect :)
We Got The World, Girlfriend and All Night feels more on a mainstream radio-path that girls want to be presented internationally.
Ah, I see.
Do you know who is behind "All night"
Haven't found anything yet but I'm sure it's not Shellback or any other big name.
There are no credits at iTunes. And the album seems to have been removed from iTunes UK.
It's very generic song
Looks like they were having fun in the studio

The synth sounds very Shellback. I guess he produced it at least. The melody its quite strong too.

Wow where did you get that picture?!!
"All night" is so cool. It wouldn't surprise me, if this was by him.
All night is awesome, I heard it 2 weeks ago and it grew on me. It sounds like Shellback cause of the "Max Martin" like guitars and the melodies are top notch.
any info on their upcoming release or this single? been pretty dead since they released All Night
Was desperate enough to search for the credits and found out that only 2 songs are possible Shellback tracks (all other tracks I found on ASCAP and they were not co-written by Shellback)
The album is listed here. Release date 10/07 in the US and Germany 09/24
http://www.allmusic.com/album/this-is-mw0002562856
But it is still not at iTunes - they removed it from iTunes UK.
So maybe they are still doing some changes? Maybe the hype in the US is over, as "All night" apparently flopped (I thought it is their best song yet)
Europe gets "Girlfriend" even a EP, but not lots of buzz yet.
In The Stars (Galaxy Mix) (?) was released today on iTunes.
Sounds good. Too much reverb IMO but I like it. Sounds a bit like Shellback.

Yes, it reminds me a lot of those Shellback things.

Quobuz features now producers/mixing credits, but not songwriting credits.
But Shellback is involved. "On a roll" 8)

I was really sensing some Max/Shellback on the verse of "Just Another Night", but then the chorus totally threw me right off. "In the Stars" sounds like a real grower, I'll be picking the album up for a listen.

Video for "All night"
Icona Pop's stuff stands out, not quite as much, in a similar way to how Ace of Base stuck out in the early 90's. They've got a good career in front of them for the next few years, attracting all these great writers.

I agree, just as long as they can get things off the ground. So far everything they've done after "I Love It" has gone unnoticed, which is unfortunate. I hope the international album is what gets things going for them. I really like "All Night" and "Girlfriend".
Turnaround, the "%2a" in your "All Night" link shouldn't be there. :)
Oops, thanks Josh!
I think they got stuck on the idea of the songs, they are getting annoying with the cheerleading kind of stuff on the verses and I'm starting to hate it.
Nice production though.

"On a roll"
Oh Shellback, this is hilarious. 8) 8)
For anyone who hasn't heard Icona Pop's song "Good For You" check that out immediately, it has the newer Max Martin production style all over it.

Loved that one! And I'm feeling a lot more the Galaxy Mix of In The Stars, but there's so much reverb in everything!
Their voices are annoying.
On Wikipedia:
In the Stars Fransisca Hall, Anjulie Persaud, Jarrad Rogers
On a Roll Allan Grigg, Johan Schuster, Peter Svensson
Fransisca Hall cowrote Ooh La La by Britney Spears.
Peter Svensson, my new favourite producer.
Album is a massive flop in the UK, I guess they are a classic one-hit wonder.
Weird release strategy didn't help.
wow, I love "On A Roll", what a fantastic song!
I like Stargate productions
