Post by: cheironlover on July 07, 2012, 08:13:33 AM
The snare/clap/rimshot combo that was heard on As Long as U Love Me

All the kicks and snares?

The Kick and Snares and HiHats used on When the Lights Go Out (UK Version) and Always Come Back To Your Love?

All these samples come from the 'Downtown Beats' sample CD by PowerFx. Some of them are also on sample CDs from Bestservice.

http://powerfx.com/products/989238545 (click the preview)

definitely has the "heh heh heh" vocal shaker thing used in tons of cheiron productions

EDIT: beat used in nsync - bye bye bye: http://powerfx.com/products/989238517 (they layered another clap/snare and kick over it in the actual production, but wow)

http://powerfx.com/products/989238529 - sounds similar to nsync - its gonna be me
http://powerfx.com/products/989238546

i'm also a little confused about the release date of this pack... sound on sound announced its release in oct 2001, almost 2.5 years after 'baby one more time' came out (which featured the heh heh heh shaker thing): http://www.soundonsound.com/sos/oct01/articles/downtown_sample.htm - so was the downtown beats pack therefore based on cheiron productions (and not vice versa)?

I like the vocal shaker a lot. Where can you get the whole powerfx downtown beats cd from for a reasonable price?

I did look into the downtown beats cd and yes it is based on cheiron studio. May I ask what the other sample cd's from bestservice that have all the other 90's europop samples are?

best service xxlarge club edtion 1 - 4 series

best service xxlarge extreme
best service xxlarge most wanted

sounds pretty much like britney, nsync, backstreet boys and so on. there is some loops that sound cheiron

i have all these libraries on my harddrive. they are rare to find and obtain.
it not only cointains loops but effects, organs, synths and chords that sound very 90s and early 2000s.

Best Service made a collection of sample CD's called XX-Large... The XXL Libraries aren't available since years, and i don't think that they will be available again.

i know that max martin used also something called ultimate sound bank ultra focus and extreme fx. i went thru all the fx sounds and some sound like they were used in the early britney songs for effects like thunder, sweeps and so on.

the proteus 2000, which was probably used alot by max martin back then.

i went thru some sounds and recognize some britney sounds and effects they used in songs like stronger, overprotected, lucky and so on.

Is there a way I can get the voice packs to ALL these keyboards for a reasonable price or for free and legally?

I've been browsin' round the downtown beats, and I found a loop that sounds similar to "As Long As You Love Me"

http://powerfx.com/products/989238565 Beat 97 Because of the tempo and drums, now layer a clap over it and you might end up replicating it.

I've exchanged some emails with PowerFx staff and they told me to make an empty search and select Drum Stems telling them that each stuff from the loop that I've bought is there...but they're lying.

I don't know how to tell them for the thousand time that I needed each single sample sound used on the loop that I bought. -.-
