Melodifestivalen and Eurovision-2009

Sooner or later we'll need to create this topic so I have reason to do it - if I understood right, SVT is going to get some big international songwriters for Melodifestivalen this time and one of the  most obvious options is Meriola (Andreas Carlsson, Anders and Laila Bagge) who rules this year Idol. Other options are RedOne and Bloodshy & Avant. Sweden takes quite low place on ESC already second year so team behind Melodifestivalen tries to make some attempts not to repeat it.

That's great news. Eurovision need some top songwriters, do you think there is a real chance that those songwriters will write a song for Eurovision?

RedOne and Bloodshy & Avant are concentrated on US too much, I think it's hardly possible though never say never. But as Meriola participates in Idol - they need promotion in swedish market and it's quite possible they will participate in MF as well. They could prepare amazing entry for MF and they could take some well-promoted swedish artist, then Sweden will get a chance with new rules of voting on ESC-2009 (televoters+jury).

Andreas make great songs but I don't know if it will work for ESC , But RedOne YES , look for Lady Gaga , Kat Deluna , are so popular in europe , I believe NKOTB would have make this album big , just people still think of them as BOYBAND , but their album is great

Yes, they definitely need to "boost" the Eurovision! Sweden is usually one of the best countries but still I think that if the contestants hired accomplished songwriters (as there are so many in Sweden ), they could do much better!!! Let's wait and see but yeah, an Andreas song would be very fit!

Two of my favourie producers have been there a couple of times I guess, "Epicentre" and "Twin", they had used that Melodifestivalen catchy beats specially "Twin", but never got the chance to make it to the Eurovision as far as I know.

Redone, Bloodshy and Avant are able to do the catchy tunes Melodifestivaln is all about, so being there will be so good.
