Hey Guys sorry for double posting (the last one was a translation request on Shellback interview video) but these are two seperate topics.
In an interview I dug up, Shellback is quoted as saying this:
"Another tip is to make a production that is NOT obvious to the melody, to make it interesting. For example, if one has a happy tune maybe I should do a pretty dark and dirty track - or if you have a country song, maybe you should not take up the banjo and fiddle."
Can someone elaborate on this? I mean... I feel like I "kinda" get it. But kinda don't.
Also, can someone give some examples of Shellbacks work that is like this?
