omg, what a mean petition. Kesha would be nowhere without Dr Luke. Warrior is better than Animal. Kesha should respond to this petition.
Interesting that she signed an 8 album deal.
The problem is not the music, it's Ke$ha. Ironically enough, she had much more creative power on this album and it showed. The songs have such a superficial and "all over the place" message.

Well, we don't know what really happened, Joshua -- maybe Ke$ha said something rude to Dr. Luke back then as a teenager, and he had to do this, but he was kind enough not to make her have to sign a ten or twelve album contract? :D :D

I watched it, it actually made me like her a whole lot more. I do remember thinking it was weird that it showed her in the studio a fair bit, but not once with Luke. I was really hanging out for him.

Haha, yes that's a funny one :-) I take back what I said earlier though about love being behind it....(I had thought it was like kids picking on an "older brother" figure type-thing). Some of them are like that, but now I think most of them are just plain mean, stupid and crazy. And her mother is fueling and condoning it -- disgusting!! I hope Luke NEVER says anything about it and just drops Ke$ha totally. Can you imagine reaching this level of success as a producer/musican/songwriter only to face a tidal wave of ignorant hate? It is really beyond belief. btw, he had Twitter suspend the accounts of the ones who published his phone#/threatened him. I don't understand why Kesha's mother would be fuelling this hate against Dr Luke?? I'm glad Dr Luke had those twitter users banned. Kesha should really make a statement about this.
I watched her documentary as well, I liked her in it, but of course it was annoying that we didn't see Dr Luke or really any of the other songwriters and that she basically pretended that she writes all the songs herself.
Pebe, however, points the finger regarding the leaked reports of supposed alcohol-related concerns at Ke$ha's uber-producer:
"I would think it was Dr. Luke's people trying to put that out because he's been getting a lot of the blame for her eating disorder," she said.
"The comment was 'Can you make her not look like a refrigerator?" she said of Dr. Luke's alleged statement. "He said that to someone we were close to. It was said to someone else who made the mistake of telling me and I told her (Ke$ha)."
The battle with body image came long before those words. Her mother says it surfaced when she was 18 and living in Los Angeles.
"Three months after she signed with him she had been dieting and he [Dr. Luke] told her she wasn't in shape enough," Pebe said, even claiming the producer suggested she get a trainer, which Pebe adds she paid for out of her pocket.
"She was dieting and she became bulimic. I remember over a period of a few months she got really skinny and she said she was running Runyon Canyon and just eating well," she added. "The truth is she was throwing up.

She's in rehab for eating disorders, no one goes to rehab looking for attention.

I've been exactly like that when I joined this forum as one of the first users here (7 years ago!) and I was exactly the same - being overall sarcastic & rude, steppin on everyone's mouth and offending everyone and anyone, thinking I was all that. (Shame on me, I even still catch myself nowadays being very sarcastic.) There are always people like that (they are what society calls "Bullies" nowadays ) and I strongly believe in the fact that they will grow out of their puberty-ish behaviour... at some point. As did I when I was like... 25? lol

In my opinion, Kesha would be a great vocalist. Her problem is that she really needs to re-position herself. The drunk girl from Tik Tok times is quickly wearing off, you can't do that forever. Plus your audience is growing up with the artist. To stay relevant, you need to keep developing. This may have worked for some of her follow-up singles but at some point you need to dump the quirky raps and really establish yourself as a singer. Some of succeeded in this, like Katy Perry and Pink, others have not (for example Jessie J is struggling big-time, she hasn't found her niche yet, despite her being a stunning vocalist). It's like when Stefanie Germanotta was unsuccessful with her material, got dumped by Defjam Records (who certainly were biting their butts a few months later) until she invented Lady Gaga.
One of Kesha's most touching performances to me still is her tribute to Bob Dylan. Watching this clip still gives me goosebumps every time I listen to it. And this is the Kesha I'd want to see.

However, I am truly happy that Timber is doing as well as it currently does. Many months ago when I first heard Timber, I recommended the song to a friend and betted that it would go to number one. I often fail with these bets, but this time I didn't.

And she had the choice of either becoming irrelevant or step back into the limelight. And like the fashion industry, the music industry is ruthless when you go down the mainstream pop road. Adele couldn't be touched because she went the indie path and when she became big (saleswise, sorry for the pun), no one wanted to criticize her anymore. Also, Adele dresses accordingly. But if you squeeze yourself into hotpants etc. like all the Keshas, Britneys, Rihannas, then you're facing really massive comments as soon as you gain weight for all the logical reasons in the world.
I think she'll be dropped from Kemosabe, her mom's is not helping... and she's looking for attention.
It's like Demi Lovato going to rehab for cocaine abuse, no one knew about it.
