I think we need a new thread as there is a lot happening with the boys recently.
On the new album by Florida Georgia Line there is a song with the Backstreet Boys.

Josh Kear, Hillary Lindsey & Gordie Sampson
The band will also do shows in Las Vegas http://ticketmaster.com/backstreetboys
Plus they were performing at the iHeartRadio Show and at the James Corden show.

"I Want it that way", "As long as you love me", "Everybody (Backstreet's Back)" and "Larger than life"
What a surprise performance! Still flawless in every way.
Very nice read:

The oral history of the Backstreet Boys, as told by the Backstreet BoysVery interesting:
QuoteKEVIN: We toured Millennium for a little bit, not as much as we could; then we went right back and did another album [2000's Black & Blue].
BRIAN: We did Black & Blue in nine days!

Not the production/writing. Recording vocals for an album in 9 days is definitely very possible :)

You don't say.
...meaning that it's not a very interesting fact that they recorded it in 9 days. I assume it was interpreted as written and/or produced in 9 days. That would have been som voodoo magic shit.
You can't deny Cheiron guys were also very productive and used lots of sounds again and again.
And the setup probably was always pretty similar and they just worked their a s s off.
Still I am sure they had lots of songs/melodies in their safe that they just could pull out when needed.
Yes! But also very detail-oriented, known for chosing kickdrums for weeks.
You think they just popped in for like two days at cheiron - wrote, produced and recorded 7 songs start to finish, then did the same thing with multiple other somgwriters and producers in other parts of the world. In 9 days.
Other articles says the recording process were 3 months which is more likely. But if the claims they recorded all vocals in 9 days, it can definitely be done under time pressure!
Conor Maynard and SDJM did a version of Backstreet Boys' I Want It That Way.
Not my thing.

Yesterday I've found an acoustic version of Get Another Boyfriend, really amazing, the guitar playing as well as the vocals:

Alright, BACKSTREET'S "BACK"!
What a song, brilliant stuff! So ready for the album! Couldn't have asked for a better "comeback". :-*
You know it's a good song when AJ starts his verse with "Am I ...".
The mid 8 reminds me a lot of Delicate.
The song is doing very well so far:

Not my cup of tea.
I expected an acoustic sounding song, their audience doesn't listen to this type of music...
Their latest single is their highest charting song in the Hot 100 in more than 10 years.
It slowly grew on me.

Oh my, what a song! Also a lovely video. They went from the airport to the underground station.
Their strongest single since Incomplete, if you ask me.

The boys performed at a big televised festival in Chile and I got the chance the meet them <3
Basically, a shorter version of the show they do on Vegas.
They received a lot of criticism for the backing tracks, but overall it was a great show.

I haven't, thank you.
It took some time until AJ got his vocals right, and Nick sounded AMAZING.
Great video.
And always a nice surprise to hear Max's vocals!

Why is Gary Baker named as a co-composer?

I hate when people starts to re-record their hits.
Gary Baker wrote I Swear by All 4 One and I'm Already There by Lonestar... but there's no interpolations or things.
So I don't know... haha

SO GOOD!
I was a bit afraid of Steve Aoki's production but I couldn't think of a better sound he can create with the Backstreet Boys.
Create a sound?
It's generic AF.

Pathetic hater.
Fun fact: Louis Tomlinson's new single "Don't Let It Break Your Heart" is co-written by Crichton & Wrabel who also co-wrote the Backstreet Boys' single "Don't Go Breaking My Heart".
Does this guy really have a career after 1D?
After 1D his mother died with cancer and some months later his sister died with heart attack so he is the only from 1D who has no album.

Jamie Hartman also co wrote that BSB song and Louis single from a few months ago "Kill My Mind".
I personally have that song stuck in my mind since then.

No album either.
It's crazy the demo version of As Long As You Love Me has over 150 million Spotify streams. I'm also wondering if they'll ever fix this. I mean the final version is already available through other albums/compilations.
Which one: video or single version?

Which one: video or single version?
I'm not aware of a difference. When I say "final version" I mean the album version (which hopefully isn't a third version).
Well, there's two officially released versions: an early mix included on the US version of the debut album -which contains songs from their first two albums- and the "final mix" which is the less known version.
Different mix, different arrangements and structure.
How can you consider yourself a fan?
Have you even read and understood my original post?
If not, go on Spotify.

It does not work in every country. BSB's first US album is available only in Spotify US.
Check it or maybe I can send you that version if you want to.
I don't know if it's a bug, but I see that too, depending on how you access the song... if you play the song from the album it's the original, if you play the song from the compilation with BSBNKOTB it's different, both with the same amount of views. It's clearly to prevent duplication, but someone might decide if the versions are different enough to have separated view counts.

José, I mentioned a "demo version" and then a final version. I'm sure you can figure out what I meant each.

I'm not, you tell me.
The versions are most efficiently distinguishable by listening to the very first chord; In one version the chord is much thicker, due to a strummed guitar. In the other version that strummed guitar is absent in the first chord. The thicker version should be the single version, while the thin version is assumed to be the demo.
If one of you has a good quality rip (preferably .wav), can you DM it to me please? I'm looking for that version but it's really not easy to find a copy of the original pressing of the Backstreet's Back album here in France.
