Cher Lloyd has started work on her upcoming as-yet-untitled sophomore album with Sony Music Entertainment / Simco Limited / Syco Music / Epic Records.
Production on the still-untitled project is headed by Martin Sandberg – better known as Max Martin – who previously teamed up with the artist on "With Ur Love" (featuring Mike Posner) and "Beautiful People" (featuring Carolina Liar).
Other credits by the Swedish hitmaker include "Tonight I'm Getting Over You" by Carly Rae Jepsen [Universal Music Group / Interscope Records], "Die Young" by Ke$ha [Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records] and "Let There Be Love" by Christina Aguilera [Sony Music Entertainment / RCA Records].
Meanwhile, the new collection by Cher Lloyd serves as the follow-up to 2011's "Sticks and Stones." That release debuted at number four on the UK Albums Chart. It also delivered four hit singles in the shape of "Swagger Jagger," "With Ur Love," "Want U Back" and "Oath."
!!
BRILLIANT! I was only thinking the other day that I hope she does some more work with Max and Shellback. I'm currently in love with "Oath", such a great tune and I feel like I'm starting to appreciate Luke's work a lot more. I wonder if Max will executive produce? I'm sure they're wanting to go all the way with this one considering her US success with "Want U Back".
Great news, looking forward to more songs. I love "With Ur Love"
It'd be interesting to hear a ballad like "Beautiful People" again, that song is amazing!
Check out the video to Cher Lloyd's US version of "With Ur Love" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bIus_aDVIeo&feature=youtu.be
good video, but I liked the old one. I also like it better with Mike Posner's rap thing, I wonder why they deleted that?
Hmm yeah I prefer the original video, bright and colourful visuals suit it better in my opinion. There seems to be this obsession with changing things up for the US market, as if the original video wasn't going to be to their taste or something. The "Want U Back" video was a huge improvement over the original, but this one wasn't necessary. They also seem to like removing any UK raps as if they won't work stateside either. Take for example Olly Murs "Heart Skips A Beat" and Cher's "Want U Back". But Mike Posner isn't British, so who knows their reasoning for removing him.
New single is
I Wish feat. T.I.
I guess we will get some Max stuff again for her album.

Shellback is the Executive producer of the album :D
QuoteFor the rest of the Instagram video, Lloyd reveals too that "I Wish" will debut August 31 on iHeart Radio show Saturday Night Online. She also echoes her sentiments from our recent interview with her, about her new album executive-produced by Shellback.
While the details around the release date are still in the works, Lloyd was adamant about the fact that we'll be seeing a different side of her, thanks to the well-known Swedish producers she has enlisted and the British sounds she's tapping into.
There's one Swede in particular she's really excited to have worked with – Shellback. "I'm extremely lucky to have Shellback to executive produce my whole album," she revealed gleefully. "Extremely lucky. When I think about it, I'm like, 'Wow, what's going on? What happened?' I must have smiled a lot at him or something."

Awesome news! I really hope it's not just a business decision and that he'll really have some influence over the direction of the album. I mean, I didn't really sense a lot of Max on "Overexposed", so I hope he goes further than that.
I guess he will have everything in his hands, it's his biggest project to date I guess.
Hoping for some Dr.Luke & Cirkut

I'm not sure about this, but I think he did the same on Carolina Liar's Wild Blessed Freedom. Excelent pop album IMO.

There are a lot of rights: all the persons involved in the recording receives an amount of money for their work.
The main ones are the creative heads behind the music: songwriters, producer and lyricists.
There are related rights, the ones including the performers of the songs: vocalists, musicians and technicians.
If you play guitar on a hit song, you earn money: each spin is a penny -in any format, from syncs to a radio spin- and all the people involved receive some money from that.

sorry but, what does "b-stock" stand for?
I guess it means the song does not meet Max Martin standards and sounds like a reject.
I'd say it 's a good album track or buzz single.
I think it's a little wierd intro which continues through the song under the big drums.
You can't really feel it in my opinion.
But maybe Those other dudes are involved in production on this one. Or are they just writers?

This is the problem now, for me.......everything is so diluted. Where is Max (or Dr. Luke) in any of the records they make now? The last time you could tell this was @"I Kissed A gIRL" and "Hot 'n Cold". Back then -- a new song came out by them and I HAD to hear it: now, half the time I don't even bother, because it's so "committee" now. I'd love it if they just ditched all these people and went back to writing together, the two of them, but that's not gonna happen.......

I really like Bind Your Love.
And Shellback + Rami + Carl Falk is a dream combination as well!
I love ''Bind your love'' , Very good melody in the chorus , it reminds me to a line of ''All good things'' By Nelly furtado.
"Bind Your Love" is definitely my favourite from the new album so far. So beautiful and breezy. Much better than the other Falk/Yacoub song "Sirens" which kind of pales in comparison to "Human" on the Big Ballad front.

absolutely true. listened to the song a few times today. the verses are on point. love her snarling vocal delivery, the fresh pre-chorus, then just when you think the chorus is about to explode into this big sassy thing, it sizzles out with the awkward "this could be great" chants. "keep it all in your pants" is melodic, but the tune needed to go higher and move more at the top of the chorus.

the chorus doesnt sound right, like it doesn't fit in the rest of the song. I dont like it at all
she needs to go for the sound she had on Just Be Mine and have Benny Blanco produce her records.
I hope I'm wrong but her latest album was a big failure and I don't think she'd record again with the same set of producers she had (because of that), and she worked with almost every Wolf Cousins producer.
I liked her last album, a lot.

Cher Lloyd is booked to play in Santiago in October. Is a small venue and is a weird move, considering her small fanbase.

I still don't know why Sorry I'm Late didn't do well. It's such a great pop album.
Actually, many of these songs were precedent of the sound of many other hit songs.
The Struts and Tove Lo, Ilya, Oscar Holter and Oscar Gorres or Emily Wright.

If you think in retrospective, most albums that had heavy involvement with the Wolf Cousins didn't go well commercially. Adam Lambert's the original high, DNCE's DNCE, Carly Rae Jepen's Emotion, Hillary Duff's Breath In Breath Out, Tove Lo's Lady Wood and Blue Lips, Cher Lloyd's sorry i'm late. All of them are great but not good on sales.

I think her A&R suggested to record the song, publishing wise is a good move for everyone.
Sounds a lot like stuff she already recorded.

BTW: I love the snares! haha
the video link is private! what was the video?
No idea. It was 3 years ago.
She released a new song called "M.I.A" and this time around she is included as one of the main writers! She also used her own new clothing line "Glo" in the music video. It looks like shes taking the reigns on her career. I listened to a couple of interviews on a radio tour she did for this song and she said that 90% of her new album she was included in everything from writing to production! I am honestly really proud of her!

It is so cringey ^
Normani on wikipedia writes about herself in this style. Shame.
