Title: cool article on Diane Warren's songwriting
Post by: georg_e on October 25, 2010, 06:45:15 PM

From Wall Steet Journal last week     http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748703843804575534513063943170.html         Sure you know, Diane Warren is one of the handful of pop writers in same league as Max.  Completely obsessed with songwriting, a zillion Billboard hits, and she's also an extremely funny, offbeat lady, swears like crazy, loves animals, etc -- I actually think her and Ke$ha would totally hit it off!   :-)

Great article , she's one of the best songwriter ever , and she was too inspired by the cheiron sound in her amazing song ''Cant fight the moonlight''.

Ah, true -- I never thought about that connection with "Can't Fight Moonlight' with Cheiron!  :-)

great article, Dianne Warren is amazing.
I love Can't Fight The Moonlight, my favourite of her songs. true, Raul, it is quite Cheiron sounding.

My second favourite Dianne Warren song is Cherry's "Saddest Song", I have this song on a mixed cd from 2000, it's pretty gooey, but I love it, unfortunately this is not great quality:

Wow, never heard that song before, Rebecca --that's a beautiful one!!   She's got so many great ones it's unbelievable.  And I agree Eddie--Diane and mAX would be a dream team....unfortunately she almost never collaborates, but who knows!!  :D

thanks, I'm glad you guys like the song.
yeah, it really is amazing how Diane can write both lyrics and music, it's so rare these days and even Max rarely does it. Max and Diane would be a great team.

Don't know if you ever heard this one Rebecca, but here's a different version of the song    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ewH_KlkwzuA&p=6592B44C61BA165E&playnext=1&index=61        But I like the one by Cherry better -- the harmonies in the chorus on their record are really fantastic!

no, I didn't know about that version. Yes, definitely Cherry's version is better, they are much better singers.
