Title: Your favorite songs of all time that are not Max
Post by: JackSnr on July 23, 2010, 11:49:52 AM
Maybe we could list some of our favorite songs and artists that are not Max and see what other kinds of music we all like  :-\

I really love Micahael Jackson - Smooth Criminal, Dirty Diana, Man In The Mirror, Beat It being some of my favorites.
My favorite artists are Shania Twain and The Corrs - all of theirs. Shania does the best ballads in the world  :D
Eminem - Love The Way You Lie, Loose Yourself, We Made You
Hans Zimmer - Pirates of the Caribbean score (lol ?)
Usher - Caught Up, Yeah
My favorite song is In A New York Minute by Don Henely. Also by him, I really love Boys Of Summer and Hotel California.
Of course the Spice Girls (really guilty pleasure - gotta love the 90's) - Viva Forever, Goodbye, Who Do You Think You Are
Love 'Africa' by Toto as well as Hold The Line and Rosanna. Kiss From A Rose and Everything I Do (I do It For You)

Apart from Max and Luke, Mutt Lange followed by Quincy Jones are my favorite producers.

Care to Share?  ;)

Gotta tell you- Samantha Mumba (has an obvious cheiron influence even tho BAG produced it)

Always come back to your love- Samantha Mumba also has a when the lights go out vibe tho it was produced by stargate.

This is My Favorite song EVER (http://mp3.zing.vn/mp3/nghe-bai-hat/Gone-Sandy.IWZED89Z.html)  Sandy - Gone

and here's the lyrics

Not a day and not a night goes by
I miss you in my life and I wonder why
You left me here without a kiss goodbye
The longer you're gone, the more my soul cries
I'm sitting at the table, there's an empty space
I'm afraid all memories could be blown away
Hope I'll find the pictures of the past
I'll never forget you

I know you don't wanna see me like that
So I gotta move on and find my strength back
You spirit will guide me wherever I go
And even make me grow

I can run, I can hide
I can shout and I can try
But it won't change the fact that you're gone
I can scream, I can fight
I can shout and I can cry
But it won't change the fact that you're gone
Gone

Everything you taught me I will keep in mind
We've never been apart for such a long time
It's hard to believe that this world is still turning
Without you it feels like my inside is burning
I hope you're okay wherever you are
And that you see me, my precious star
And I promise to make all you wishes come true
'Cause I'm gonna shine for you

I know you don't wanna see me like that
So I gotta move on and find my strength back
You spirit will guide me wherever I go
And even make me grow

I can run, I can hide
I can shout and I can try
But it won't change the fact that you're gone
I can scream, I can fight
I can shout and I can cry
But it won't change the fact that you're gone
Gone

It's hard to get through this
Now where is your shelter
I'm left alone here in despair
Everything here reminds me
Of the moments we've shared
Can't get it out of my head
I cannot change it, I gotta face it
But I know you will light my way
You make me stronger, stronger

I can run, I can hide
I can shout and I can try
But it won't change the fact that you're gone
I can scream, I can fight
I can shout and I can cry
But it won't change the fact that you're gone
Gone

Sandy's Gone is my favourite ever song as well.

Max is great, but there are producers who are equally as great , my "Kristian" for example as well as "Twin for RedFly" and "Epicentre"

oh yeah, I absolutely love Gotta Tell You by Samantha Mumba too.
Also I love Roxette, Christopher Cross, Foreigner, Guns n Roses, George Michael, Faith No More, songs by Redone.
As for individual songs, there are so many, but recently Jason Derulo's "In My Head" and of course Taio Cruz's "Break Your Heart"

Well, I'll limit my choice to the last five years, and just one song......otherwise it'll be too long a list :-)    But the song I was the most completely obsessed with, HAD to find the CD, etc etc. was "Too Little Too Late" by JoJo.  (2006)   It's one of my favorite records ever!!!

OMG another incredible song by my SECOND favorite songwriting team after Max/Luke:   Billy Steinberg and Josh Alexander.
It's been out for awhile as a leak from JoJo's new album...it is a SMASSHHH!!!   (They also wrote "Too little Too Late" -- the only song for me that rivals "Since U Been Gone' in last 5 years).  Anyway, here it is      http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZgKsT-xoukU&feature=related

Haha, yes all their songs are great but I just came across this one a couple of days ago.
First time I've heard it in 10 years and oh my god, memories lol. Beautiful song.

Does the verse remind anyone a little of the verse of Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonley?

when it comes 2 love by foreigner! It shoulda been 97 or 99.05 bpm, rlly shoulda had that snare that sounds like a mix between a low-end snare, wide clap, and a rimshot and had the tinkle bells in the chorus and middle 8.
