The 'Hate You' singer has confirmed this last week that his debut record is set to be released sometime in Summer 2013, entitled Heart Attack. The lead single, "Hate You" was released on February 24, 2013, but has so far failed to peak inside the top 200 on the UK Top 40 or the US Billboard Hot 100. He has confirmed that his next single will be darker and more electronic than the lead.

WiD has also confirmed that the album is not fully recorded, but the track listing is in the process of finalising. WiD announced that the promotional single, "b*tch Like You" will not see a release on the standard edition of the album, which is said to contain twelve tracks, all of which are rumoured to be self-produced by WiD. When asked which was his favourite song on the album, WiD answered, "Maybe On My Own or the title track, Heart Attack. But I like all the songs on there. There's a bit of everything: empowerment in songs like Heart Attack and Stoic, and invisible 'I can't love you' sort of love in tracks such as Like I Don't Matter and You're Someone I Can't Have. It's predominantly Pop and Electronic, but there's a little bit of dance, dubstep and a tiny bit of Alternative rock. I hope everyone likes it."
