Interpolates many songs of the 2000s.
Sounds good.
Very nice, I like the references. I was 10 in 2002 :) And totally absorbed in the pop music of the day

still wondering why they interpolated a 1998 song in "2002"
2002 was the year when lyrical heroine fell in love and they were listening those songs during their romance
Album is out tomorrow.
Official 2002 credits are:
Written by Anne Marie Nicholson, Steven McCutcheon, Edward Sheeran, Julia Michaels & Benjamin Levin
Produced by Steve Mac.

I think she has so much potential, but the songs are just blah.

I'm a big fan of UK club records and I'm enjoying this one a lot! 2000s vibes all over!
That's cool, I like her!

Will be out as a pre-release single this coming Friday, I believe.
Will we ever get big explosive pop smashes from him? This sounds so tame.
If the pre is this tame, that would mean that the chorus probably explodes. Typical max.

I like the little synth *b o o p* after every time she sings "beautiful" in the chorus. The kids singing at the end is unnecessary, though, and this kind of lyrical message has been done a thousand times over and it's a bit tired & corny. However, the song is still very well-produced and the mix sounds great!
Agreed! I like Elvira's production style - moments of this reminded me of some of the recent work she's done with Molly Sanden. The kids at the end was definitely kind of pointless/corny.
I found a bit weird the effect at the end of the second chorus, I thought something was wrong with my monitors.
I'm not impressed.
Don't Play is another good song from the album. Giving me early 2000s pop vibes.
I loved the production, the way she stretches their syllabes in the chorus is very reminiscent to Max, specially compared to Cool for the Summer, it's a very nice element.
I agree with the lyrics being cheesy, pointless and pretty much trash. And the kids singing in the outro is just bad.
But even though with all those questionable decisions it's a very good song.

What effect are you hearing? :) I can't pinpoint it.
2:00 when it cuts off.

Seems like the sidechain got a little aggresive over there, didn't notice until you pointed it out.
Not sidechain, they've just cut out most of the tracks and filtered down the rest, however it doesn't sound very clean...!

Not a smooth transition, to say the least.

Sounds like it samples the song "Never Leave You (Uh Ohh, Uh Ohh)" by Lumidee. Great interpolation of this sample!!
Thank you!
Album is out now and it's quite good!

x2 is a bop. Love the beat. There are like 4 hooks??
Kiss My (Uh Oh); infectious tune with amazing sample use
Way Too Long chorus sounds like something from the 2000s you've heard on the radio for years
Unlovable: I love the way her vocals pan slightly to the left/get louder when the chorus hits. Another dance hall inspired bop
Beautiful has grown on me. I made a quick edit of it without the kids singing outro:

Thanks @getawaydriver for isolating the vocal track!
Tell Your Girlfriend - updated throwback 2000s sound done well again. Love the chorus
Kiss Me (Uh Oh) it's a hit. Reminded me a bit of Ciao Adios.
Way Too Long is a smash and Who I Am is great too. Love the first bar in the choruses.
