Oooh! I am so excited about Emilia's
(not Big Big World-Emilia) upcoming album. She's working with Arnthor, Savan and this other guy called Janussi.
The new single "I Can" is written by these guys and the video is now finished. Check it out:

Short background information:She released her first single "Mistreat Me (You'll Be Sorry)" back in 2001 (as Lia Andreen), they were going to launch her as the next big thing from Sweden, she was signed to German Edel and the single did pretty well in Scandinavia and Germany. She managed to release a second single (signed Elofsson) - "Back Where I Belong" before she was dropped. Unfortunately the album was never released.
In 2005 she made a comeback with the album "A Lifetime in a Moment", with all melodies signed Elofsson. Lyrics were written by some American guys. It did pretty well, she promoted the album the best she could. It is a lovely album, I recommend you all to get it. It has a soft, beautiful sound to it...

maybe the talk is about Max Martin all the time cuz he is the biggest name in the group and he made songs that are huge and legendary hits like his work with Britney Spears he almost made her famous and big name in the world of music and put Britney in the memory of the music history, making her (the pop princess) and the best female singer of her era .

yes i understand that and i love him for everything but now it´s 2008 and not 1998, so i think we must give savan/arnthor/Rami more credit for there works. It feels like this if max martin would be involved in the Shayne Ward album everyone would be crazy and say it´s the best since Britney baby one more time and so on emilia de portet

Oh My... I'm reading Emilia's blog, there's so many things going on in America now. She's there to meet with recordlabels and stuff, and apparently they all LOVE "I Can" and think she's fabulous. She's there with Arnthor to present her material. She's been to Atlantic Records among others.
She was asked to sing "Pick Me Up" and got the following response from the A&R:
"Wow, I love your tone. Thats probobly one of the hardest things to do. Sing for one person and convince him. But you just did." ;D
Another A&R told Arnthor "Wow! I really love this project"!
And she also gives some information about other artists. Listen to this, you guys!! :o
Emilia met a guy called Chad Wolf (http://www.myspace.com/CarolinaLiar), whom she had met in Sweden before. He's working with Max!! Chad just landed himself a recorddeal at Atlantic Records. 8)
AND! Apparently Leona Lewis will release a new single this spring (by a Swedish producer), the song didn't make the album 'cause he was also working with Shayne Ward's album at the time and there was just no time to do it all... :o :o

Bad news... The album won't be out in Sweden until fall, while Australia will get it in August (if all goes well, I suppose!)

The thing is that Rami and Arnthor are very good songwriters. But it's not enough to make a lot of world hits, you need to have a special gift, some feeling of hit, I don't know... But I really couldn't get interested in any other song from Shayne's album but "If That's Ok With You", the same with Celine Dion's album, yes, guys from Maratone worked with her, but songs doesn't catch attention at all. To listen and to forget. I guess Max can work on developing tune during a song as good as no one from Maratone can. And finally almost every record he touches turns gold and big hit. So this is why we all want him to touch this record. I wouldn't say there are so big percent of really good songs those are able to catch you for years written by Maratone guys without Max.

oh, that is good news that Emilia's single will be released in Australia! finally, hardly anything I want to buy is released here. But yes, strange she is releasing in Australia first. Though I notice from her myspace page she is in Australia for some promotion in May.

I asked emila about rami and max and she only said that arnthor and savan was working with her but that rami/max support the album and thought that it sound great..Maybe the newspaper think that max are involved because she recorde the songs in maratone studion,

Alex, sorry it doesn't sound similar at all, this one is very uptempo pop/rockish track, the Emiia's has laid-back pop tune, you probably meant the way she sings in the chorus? It has a bit of Pick Me Up but it's much less strong. I can't say I'm a fan of the song...
I do think Pick Me Up is a better song, but this song isn't bad, the chorus is very good, and btw I guess this is better than that song which was going to be a single as we heard....
'Weightless' was never planned as single, it's just a track she performed live. :)

As always, whenever I get a new song I write its lyrics to memorise it as fast as I can, when I did the same thing with "On Fire", I just found out a HUGE grammatical mistake, the writer should've been more aware of it, at the beginning when she says "Hey baby, how's your day?, Might has been a little too messy", I studied English for years now, and I have never seen the verb "has" used with the modal verbs(modal verbs are "can, could, shall, should, will, would, may, might...", we usually use have with them, I don't like ignoring grammar in lyrics...

The album is good, I just think it's an R'n'B effort, I have expected something better from Emilia, since I REALLY loved "Pick Me Up", "I Can" and liked "On Fire" and "Now Or Never", the only good song which can be as the same level is "This Ain't A Love Song", however, it loses its greatness in the chorus.
some songs is growing in me , but the singles are another nevel , the rami song is good but not great , I think the verses are very melodics but the chorus arent very catchy.
