Max and the Billboard Hot 100

Although Max has had two No.1's on the Hot 100 this year (which is great don't get me wrong). You have to remember there was no iTunes Music Store during the "Golden Age Max Martin" period '97-'02.

Which would explain why Max didn't have more No.1's during this period.

As fans were more or less forced to buy the whole album as opposed to just the single, which wouldn't then count towards the Hot 100.

Yes indeed. Itunes in 2000 would have been with like 3 Britney songs, 3 BSB, 2 NSYNCS, 1 Bon Jovi, 1 Celine Dion...  :o
