OMFG, Luke and Co is selling the brand to Dr. Pepper for $525 million and she thinks she is entitled to 50% of Luke's part because she posted several pics of it on twitter. She thinks it is equal to creating a brand from scratch.
It's disgusting how money blows people's mind away. This chipmunk was piece of nothing without Luke. And she is still just the same brand that Luke created for the pop-latino market, who can't sing, can't dance, can't write her music and lyrics. She is just a brand, not an artist.
Man, really? Sometimes newcomers who don't know anything about business just say yes, when it's profit disguised as opportunities. I see this all the time as an industry standard, in publishing for example.
Not sure yet, but Prescription still owns Becky's catalog, though her latin venture is managed by Sony Music Latin.
That means that a % of those publishing incomes go to Prescription, with no investment at all.
Is that fair to you? Same thing with ghostwriting. An industry standard.
