So this song  (the "Entertainer of the Year" co-produced :-)   is basically copy/paste, although catchy and good sound, but only reason I'm posting about it is at 4.06 sec it has the most jaw-droppingly beautiful string part, which continues until end of song...really want to find out who wrote/arranged that part!!   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BGoy2W_qLVQ

Later...found this about the orchestra.....
Also featuring fellow BEP member apl.de.ap-and, perhaps most outrageously, the 70-piece, Prague-based Czech Symphony Orchestra-#willpower sees will.i.am expanding his sound by sharing production duties with leading-edge collaborators like Dr. Luke, Cirkut, Benny Blanco, Afrojack, Swedish House Mafia's Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso, Lazy Jay, and FRESHM3N III.

I want this song to go #1 just for that part.....best thing I've heard in a pop song in a long time :D On iTunes already, release date is Tuesday 4/23.

The song is good but nothing special.
True, but that orchestra part is!  :-)

I was listening to this song two days ago as well, and I think it's phenomenal. And yes, the string part is really fantastic, even though it's a radical break and will most likely be cut from every radio station. :-)

However, on the second or third listen I was getting a Kesha-flashback. Isn't the main hook extreeeeeeeeemely close to "Die Young" by Kesha? I mean the melody where she sings "Looking for some trouble tonight, take my hand I'll show you the wild side." I agree it's not identical, but given that Luke is on the production team it's just too close to miss.

Overall I think the song is excellent though. Great to hear a new side of Miley, of whom I haven't been a fan at all so far. It's also impressive how will.i.am manages to squeeze out creative ideas song after song. The song has so many small nuances in the way they play with the vocal production and even the melodies. I am deeply in love with the simple melody in the chorus. So so so so so so great.

I think this song will be dominating the charts in no time.

In related news I'm still amazed of the incredible amount of style packed into the Scream & Shout video. Will.i.am clearly knows his sh*t, holy cow! It oozes creativity.

I liked this song a lot! Even if it's very similair to Die Young and How To Be A Heartbreaker, i love that sound so i'm glad they did it again :)

But i was disappointed when i saw this article about how will.i.am used other artist's material without even asking or clearing any rights. I've always respected him very much, but it seems like he went too far here:

What do you guys think?

wow... will.i.am just created a huge cluster fuck. i have to sympathize with all of the victims he sampled... wasted time they have to take out of their schedule to deal with this instead of writing new music.

I should probably restrain myself, but I may burst with anger... I seriously cannot stand will.i.am! >:( I hate everything he's worked on since "Boom Boom Pow". It's always the same basic beats, over the top auto-tune, synth breakdowns and nonsense rap. It's getting old. I just had a listen to his new track with Chris Brown, and honestly, minus will's rap and the (surprise surprise) synth breakdown, I love it. It actually evokes plenty of emotion in me (which isn't anger). Beautiful chord progression and vibe, finally. But alas, it turns out to be stolen from someone else. :(

Back on topic, that orchestral part is beautiful! I agree they will surely edit it, but hopefully not completely. The Ke$ha copy/paste is a bit worrying though, a little too obvious there Luke.

Love the drums. They sound clean. Think is was benny blanco who programmed them.

Surprisingly I like this song, often I find will i am songs annoying, but this is quite nice, but it is totally Kesha's "Die Young".

Thanks ;-)    Will have to investigate further though, as "arranged" and composed are two different things........

I  Tweeted Onree Gill,  orchestra arranger on many tracks of Will I Am album, and asked if he was the composer of the string part on "Fall Down" (Miley Cyrus).....he was very nice to reply:
