Elvira is a step forward for the swedes, she deserves more attention (the one that Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran has been giving to her lately).

Worldwide ABBA & Cheiron success turned out to be a kind of a drawback because now we have an inflation of wannabe producers /songwriters from that region. They are usually not better than their counterparts from the majority of other countries, so there is definitely not 'something in the water' there. I have listened for some surprisingly good songs & productions from regions not known for successful commercial music

Nepotism is the word to describe the Swedish "success".

I mean, Sweden being a small country had reached a lot of goals, in terms of nation branding for example.
Their music school program, for example is based in music making.

And I don't think it's a casualty that in every decade since the 70s, there has been a big breakthrough artists from Sweden: ABBA, Roxette, Ace of Base, The Cardigans, Aviicii, etc.

I don't know if the government itself helps promoting those artists but for sure helps to create an international image.
What do we know about Sweden? ABBA.

Nina got famous for being an underage ex-girlfriend of Ed Sheeran; usually her songs are one-note and not relatable lyrically to a wider public.

I like both No Time and Pressure Makes Diamonds, she seems to be an interesting artist.

When You Lose Someone is really good.

Sounds like Julia Michaels.

I didn't know she was Ed Sheeran's ex girlfriend. He wrote Photographs about her and she appeared on the video for Ed's Drunk.
