AMAZING news.
QuoteTaken from poptastic:
One Direction's new single is called 'Live While We're Young'.
How do we know this? Because they've said as much in the 25-second long video clip we've plonked at the bottom of this 'news' story.
As Harry says, the single will be available to pre-order tonight at midnight while the actual 'street date' is September 30.
According to a press release, the single's been written with Savan Kotecha, Rami Yacoub & Carl Falk (i.e. the people that helped make 'What Makes You Beautiful' so amazing), and the album also features collaborations with Dr Luke (amazing), Shellback (amazing) and Toby Gad (amazing).
Ed Sheeran's on there too, but you can't have everything.
The album's out at some point in November.
Exciting stuff. Hopefully Max is also on board!

Do you think Max will also have a song on it?
very interesting that Dr Luke has written for One Direction, he hasn't written for that many male artists compared to all the females. Nice to see Shellback there too. Max has got to be involved somewhere!
Looking forward to the new album.
Already very high in the album charts worldwide. (pre-orders of the single)
Pop orgasm! I wish their songs were sung by a female singer or a girlband.. I just don't really like these guys.
"Live While We're Young" was written by Savan Kotecha, Rami Yacoub and Carl Falk - the trio of songwriters behind 1D's massive "What Makes You Beautiful".

Single cover:
From Cheiron site:
Here's a list of no less than NINE (!) titles of songs recorded by One Direction, co-written by Rami Yacoub and Kristian Lundin, most likely to be released on their upcoming album "Take Me Home", due November 9th!
Max and Rami on the same album but of course NOT on the same songs. :( ::)
Shellback with Rami though :)
Some of the songs are co-written by 1D and these guys I haven't heard before
Kristoffer Fogelmark

Hope all of these song makes the album or at lease all leak, so excited to hear the Krisian Lundin tracks :) :)
OH! MY! This is the best news I've heard all year, I'm am so excited and shocked. So many songs! Plus if Max is executive producer it will be even more perfect. That could actually explain Shellback working with Rami and Kristian. What is the song with Max as writer though?
Thanks for the news! :)
Amazing credits!
I tweeted Carl, Rami, and BSB asking if they were going to work together or a divorce occured. Carl said "no hard feelings!". :( Lame

Great song , ''What makes you beautiful'' 2.
Its like the first 2 singles...eh not impressed.
Same as Khan. It's the exact same formula with not a single fresh ingredient.
I was expecting a bit more to be honest.
Mmm, put me in the disappointment club as well. It's nice, but just sounds like a lost B-Side from "Up All Night". They shouldn't have rushed into this second album, but hey, there are too many eager Directioners who can't wait another twelve months. ::)
EDIT: Video is up.

They are milking the money as fast as possible, or maybe Simon's doing that who knows. I'm looking forward to seeing if the songs Kristian did, changed things up at all.
Its so weird Carl and Savan were students of Kristian and Rami was an original Cheiron member yet, compared to the BSB/NSYNC songs these 1D songs are just not even half way up to par. They repeat so many of the same words and recycle way more than they did 10 years ago.
^It's hard for a boyband to be successful nowadays. I think the producers did the same music because they didn't want to jeopardize. However, I think this new track sounds cool.
I am here for Kristian Lundin anyway!
Poor song :P
The song is okay, but yeah, too similar to their first album. Definitely not as good as BSB!
Anybody noticed that around 02:06 that Rami actually pasted the same intro of "Starships"?

Yes , it's true!
Very copycatish.

"Rock me" by Max Martin is on the album :D :D ;)
When was the last time we had Rami, Kristian and Max on ONE album?
Must be a very long time ago..
Maybe...bsb black n blue.
Celine Dion's 2003 "One Heart" album.
Very good 8)
Exactly. Someone has edited Max out of the credits, I still hope it is true.
Next single is the Dr Luke track called "Little Things"
My guess is that there'll be no Max. Obviously not on "Rock Me" anyway. At least Shellback and Rami are working together, that's gotta be a good sign for future working relationships.

So excited for the Kristian Lundin songs, it's been a while since he did boyband stuff.
7 Carl Falk+Rami (incl. 3 Shellbacks) and 1 Dr. Luke. Not bad, not bad!

All I can say is wow! This is going to be one great album. You know it's going to be good when you're already in love with the snippets. Why oh why did they choose "Live While We're Young" for the lead single? There are so many better tracks here, and they're all still Rami's.
"Little Things" is the second single (turned out to be an Ed Sheeran track, not Dr. Luke). Video here. http://youtu.be/xGPeNN9S0Fg (http://youtu.be/xGPeNN9S0Fg)
"Little things" is very nice. Great clever but not boring music. Love the pureness of it.
And the snippets are all very promising. I am not expecting them to deliver innovations, just some contemporary pop music. And what I heard so far was pretty good and there seem to be many songs better than the first single. They just didn't want to risk anything for the first single.
It sounds like a solid pop album , I Can't wait for the leak.

I Can't wait for the leak.
Looks like it's leaking already, I just found "Kiss You" on YouTube, couldn't help myself. The chorus is plain awesome!
"They don't know about us" was also leaked as it was on youtube!
"Was on YouTube" is right... they are being blocked left, right and centre now. :D Do you think the label releases these leaks purposely? I mean, surely it's all about promotion, rather than some dodgy employee getting hold of them and putting them online.
Album can be streamed on iTunes! Enjoy!!
Amazing pop album , I love All the Rami songs and Specially ''C'mon c'mon''.
A lot of great songs on the album that make you question the single choices.
"MAGIC", the last CHEIRON track 'missing' from the final tracklist of One Direction's "Take Me Home" album will be released in the US as a special bonus track for the TARGET edition of the album. :D
Cool! "Kiss You" is my favourite at the moment, though it wont be for long if I keep overplaying it like I am.
''Kiss you'' is amazing , perfect pop album!
Three bonus tracks:
"Truly Madly Deeply"
Travor Dahl, Toby Gad, Robbins
"Magic"
Yacoub, Falk, Kotecha
"Irresistible"
??
The Luke Song "Rock Me" is great. Reminds of the Kelly Clarkson stuff he wrote for her...
Hope that will be a single...

I agree , I have the song in my head all the day.
I did too today, thanks to reading Dominik's post last night. ;D The "push the pedal, heavy metal" bit seems sooo cheesy, or is it just me?
Right now my favourite song is a non-Cheiron song. "I would" 8)

YESSS, the chorus is
so good! I'm gonna pick up a copy of the album tomorrow.
EDIT: Next single is "Kiss You", out November 16. I hope it's not just a radio promo single, seeings as though "Little Things" is out too. Maybe "Little Things" will be UK only, like "It's Gotta Be You" was...?

But still kind of brilliant.

OMG , ''Magic'' is amazing , pure pop , for me their most poppy song.
Everything you do is Magic, You got that One Thing...Its really not that great, its recycled and its just a bonus track. I wonder how they would sound with the old Cheiron sound.
Songs have been taken down.
Anyone knows how many songs have been handed in to their A&R, I guess thousands..
Great album! Though I agree with you that some of the Rami songs sounds like copy&paste.. But Kiss You is brilliant! Heart Attack and Change My Mind are also solid..
Loving this bonus track: Nobody Compares(Yacoub, Falk, Kotecha, Shellback)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QM4PL4G54s
Rami and co are really loving using the same little chord rundown from the chorus of "Live While We're Young", it's in "Still The One" and "Magic" too. I have to say, they're production is becoming very samey. The guitar intros, the cowbell, having Harry sing the last line of every chorus a cappella. But it's forgiving that they've written some absolute gems. I just wish they'd mix it up a bit. I guess they probably wrote plenty, not knowing which would get the go ahead.
On another note, I'm with Turnaround on "I Would", I think it's become my favourite. Found out it's written by the band members of McFly, who I know have been big in the UK, but I'm not sure if I've heard any of their songs before.
Hehe, McFly were so good in the beginning of their career. (First album was fantastic) They will release soonish a Greatest Hits album, I can recommend it.
I was surprised they delivered such a great stand-out track with "I would"....
Single material and somehow different than the Falk/Kotecha/Rami songs.
You guys are going to love this Time Magazine article:

Savan Kotecha talks about the songwriting process, Max Martin, songwriting credits, Dr. Luke, Sweden.
Enjoy!! :D :D :D :D :D
That was brilliant, thanks! :D So many interesting points in there, and I was quite surprised that Luke got a writing credit (the lead credit if I'm not mistaken) based on production only... I had no idea it worked like that. Then again, you hear plenty of stories of artists getting writing credits when they've not made even the tiniest contribution.
I've heard Max say that the "melody first" technique works for him but may not for everyone, but from the way it's mentioned here, it's more of a strategy than just personal preference.
Savan seems to be a great source of information, maybe as a forum we should probe him a bit for some more. ;)
Thanks GMG for the article. I also thought it was interesting that Dr Luke was given a writing credit just because he produced it.
so funny to read that originally max should've been involved an dr. luke was believed to be the producer of little things ;D
