I fucking love Stargate !!!
I heard Ron Fair suggested to record the strings live -they're from a Motif- but they refused, they thought it sounded great that way.

This is definitely not the direction I was hoping but it's very interesting how they want to evolve.
I still can't believe they answered my question, I'm thrilled.
Funny how I thought for a minute at the end that they admire max's team but they didn't.

Stakes on soundtracks?
It doesn't sound like a Stargate song at all.
Cowritten with Mathieu Carratier and Igor Kempeneer.
New song by Sam Smith is by Stargate:
TOO GOOD AT GOODBYES

Out next week... it will be an acoustic song or a classic Stargate track?

Love the track! Stefflon Don is FIRE!
Not really feeling the Ne-Yo's verses, Bebe's doing great lately!

They did what they say. Not literally because they didn't collaborate with metro boomin but now they do something that sounds similar.
Very dissatisfied.

What an unpleasant song.
This is what's trending right now.
What I don't like is the fact that these guys lost their sound and they're doing whatever to stay relevant.
New by Stargate.
The production is great. Sounds to me like a Rihanna reject.

Sounds a bit dated to me.
I wasn't aware of her fanbase, millions of people and I didn't even know who she is...

I respect them for their success, they are doing it all the time, good in chameleon-ing. But I somehow don't like their melody-writing skills which cannot be compared to Max

Funny, to me it sounds like Dua Lipa

Well, pretty much everything sounds the same at the moment.
If you listen to new artists in the pop vein, pretty much is all the same, some with more attitude than other but pretty much the same.
Carlie Hanson, Jaira Burns, Nicole Millar, Kiiara, Madison Beer, Sabrina Carpenter, Rita Ora, Dua Lipa Bebe Rexha, Shy Martin, Astrid S and Mayka from Sweden, even Bonnie McKee.
The standouts are Julia Michaels because of her songwriting, Phoebe Ryan for the same reasons.
Carlie Hanson, ALMA and Allie X for example are cool as well and they write her own songs.
Jaira Burns have the attitude but she's not a writer and Kiiara has very well crafted productions.
And Charli XCX and Tove Lo are at the top.
The thing is: you need something special that standouts.
Stargate produced this and co-wrote it.

Written by Afrojack, Ellie Goulding, David Guetta, Jamie Scott, Stargate, and Ryan Tedder
Produced by Afrojack, David Guetta, and Stargate
Sounds so much like Ellie but the credited vocalist is a girl named "Luxtides", it's way too underhyped with such writers and producers.
It's an irrelevant song imo, because it sounds outdated. Sound design is similar to afrojack 2014 titanium album. Really using trends of david guetta 2010 love takes over album as well. It has nothing to do with current trends. Why is ellie out? Why would she be in on something that is bound to flop? One of the publishers is Wall Records, which is a minor record label of Afrojack. He's probably primair responsible for the end product. David Guetta made a song with Sia Let's Love, it embraces the trends used by Blinding Lights. Did well in Europe, not on BB however. Guetta has a better talent for spotting and embracing current trends than afrojack (cf. afrojack album 2018).
