New album for their 20th anniversary in April.

I was really hoping to post this in the Max Martin forum, but no mention of him or kristian or redone :(
I'm not terribly familiar with Martin Terefe, but he's from Sweden.
There's on ascap.com a song called THE RAIN and Max Martin is one of the writers together with Nick,Kevin and Brian. ;D
Cool, imagine that is going to be the first single. That would be amazing.
Do you have a way to filter the ASCAP list in order to get the most recent tracks?
20 years after , the first single should be a Max martin song!! , It's exciting!
Yeah they're probably only working on a couple of tracks for Terefe. But wow, I can't wait to hear "The Rain"... wooo! Hopefully they're doing more than one track with Max this time. I loved "Bigger" so much, but it felt out of place on the last album with the random mix of other producers. Maybe if they'd kept the Kristian and Rami tracks it would've worked better. I'm hoping the renewed popularity in boyband pop will encourage them to do what they do best.
The Rain is a very old song, it was either for Millennium or Black and Blue. It was recently listed because I think they might have wanted to re-record the song but Brian might use it in the future.
Their in the studios in London with Martin Terefe, another Swedish producer/song-writer whose worked with Craig David, Jason Mraz, and Train. They will be in London till the first week of August. The closest cheiron writers would probably be Rami/Carl since their the only ones on a good relation with them but I doubt they wanna be known as the group who works with One Direction's producers.

Oh, well that sucks then. :( Still, I would like to hear it, even as a demo.

Really? Did something happen involving Max etc? I know there was all that rumoured drama with the last album where Rami and Kristian's work was apparently removed on Max's request... I so highly doubt that's true though.
Khan, are you sure that the rain is an old song? I always look ascap.com and I had never seen before. It seems strange.... ::)
Rami/Kristian songs weren't removed per Max's request but on other albums with others artists he's done it with other Cheiron guys. It was more like a Jive screwed Rami and Kristian when they asked them to rush the songs to be placed on the album and they missed the cut.
If BSB worked with Max again it wouldn't be the same. He really recycles way too much and the guys got a shit end of his creativity stick with Bigger a couple years back. Besides why would you want to work with someone everyone's working with, you don't really stand out that way. But I do think if Carl and Rami are in London they will somehow work with the guys IF the guys want to.
In regards to The Rain, fans have asked Brian a lot about the song and in recent years he said he plans on putting it out in the future hopefully.
Interesting story!
Can you reveal which artist was it where songs were removed?
So Max and Rami do not have a good relationship anymore actually? That would all make sense.
But I believe that Max, Andreas and Shellback could do some nice tracks for BSB.
Khan: can you say why you have all of those insights? did you work with any of the guys?
Max is a great guy and is smart but there's a reason why his fellow Cheiron members don't work with him or like to work with an artist that Max is working with on a specific album. I'll leave it at that.

Anyone can do nice tracks for BSB since their mentors thrived success off of them but its actually smart for BSB to move on and try something different. They should be leaders not followers.
Interesting Khan, but I would still love Max to work with BSB, I loved Bigger, but Max is probably too big now to work with BSB.

I've read this elsewhere as well, but I still don't get why Max would want to do it... what's the advantage? Anything you could elaborate on? :)

There seems to be a down the middle divide of people who either love or hate "Bigger", I'm guessing it's down to the lyrics, which are even self aware of "how silly it sounds". But that's the only thing I could ever find fault with. I think the song overall is as good as any other track Max has done for them in the past. Jive and the guys can't have been too disappointed with it either, they performed it quite often and released it as the second single, albeit with terrible promotion.
Jive have pretty much been trying to screw over the guys since Black and Blue ever since that 2001/2002 lawsuit. And on This Is Us, once they recorded Bigger the camp had said it was going to be a single despite many other songs that were better on both being a single and making a cut. And then Jive basically put all the songs that leaked early in 2009 onto the final album. Luckily Jive does not exist anymore.
BSB finished the first part of their recording session for the new album. Some fans got to listen in at the studios and said it was definitely fun and summer like sounding. Also Rami/Carl did get in contact with BSB but they left London to go back to the U.S today.
I'm not sure if BSB is going to come back to London to finish the album or go to L.A but lets cross fingers they go back to Europe and work with the Swedes.

I think that was the biggest disservice overall, it really killed any hype they could have built up for the release. The whole album was a letdown for me, I don't even know what else they could've released as a single, maybe "Bye Bye Love"?
Definitely hope they get some Swedeness happening on this album, but more than anything I hope they find their direction again. It's liked they've really struggled to find their post 90's niche.
After Never Gone, sales wise/radio play they just fell off but they continued to do strong when it came to touring. With boybands coming back and the excitement over the 20th year anniversary of BSB, 2013 should be a big year for BSB.
Nick recently played a song at his birthday celebration in Vegas called "Just Kids", its about a reflection of them growing up the past 20 years. He said it might make the album and that Kevin likes the song a lot. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4ZSzz3_aZrc
I like the song, but don't love it. I don't mind if it makes the album, but I want more upbeat tracks and more pop!
Not sure if anyone has heard, but there will be a Backstreet Boys documentary coming to cinemas this year, from the makers of the recent Rolling Stones and Katy Perry movies. It will apparently be an in-depth, bare all look at their career... so there HAS to be some Max/Cheiron in there somewhere. I for one won't miss this for the world.

My heart rate has just doubled! :o This is the most exciting news I've heard in a long time. Far out, I was so certain they wouldn't be working with Max for some reason, like it was hoping for too much. I'm over the moon! Even more chance of some Max coverage in the documentary now, seeings they said they'll be covering the making of the new album.
EDIT: Howie just Tweeted... "In LA today with bsb recording a smash with Max Martin. He wrote the majority of our biggest hits. Great to have the dream team back again!!"
This is so exciting!! I never dreamed that Max would work with them again. Such great news!
I'm guessing it may only be one track, seeings they're apparently about to wrap up with the album. But hey, one is better than none!
OUHHHHHHHHH MY GODDDDD!!!!!!! I was just screaming when I saw the tweet!!!! Oh my god ... <3

amazing.. after so many years they still work on something new.. and the studio is conway studio in hollywood
We need to merge our other discussion about this into here. :) I for one am extremely excited about this, I'm still listening to his Never Gone tracks on an almost daily basis, they are simply outstanding (and yes that includes "Just Want You To Know" :P). I really hope we get a classic from this collaboration, and given the talk about the album, they're really going for their original vibe, so fingers crossed. We don't need a Backstreet style "Beauty And A Beat" in my opinion, they tried that on "This Is Us", and ironically... it wasn't them.
Merged :)

Exciting! , I can't wait!
I just saw that article in Billboard when I was checking currents rankings for MM songs. I think any song with BSB and MM will go to the top. I'm looking forward to hearing it. The documentary sounds great. The BSB are originally from my state, Florida. I remember when they first formed and then they were off to Europe to work with some elusive songwriter/producer! Who knew how much MM would influence pop music??

I really think it might be! Though of course my perfect bsb album would be full of Max tracks, this to me already sounds like it's going to be one of their best, and that's just going by the samples. To a degree I was expecting some sort of retro throwback to their early style from all the talk surrounding it, which I was excited for, but nervous as to how it would be received. This might be a little more along the lines of their recent adult contemporary style, but I'm more than fine with that.
Agnetha and BSB releasing both Cheiron albums is fantastic.
Popjustice also talks about the new BSB songs. I love that BSB always get lots of attention when they come back from a break.

Pop Justice has given the samples a scathing review, saying it sounds like they're still trying to get their heads around a modern sound. 7 of the 8 songs that were played on Saturday were co written by either a combination of the guys. I think the one song called "Try" was written by Martin Terefe and James Morrison.

Morgan's full name is Morgan Taylor Reid, so I just referred to his middle name. I know their was 4 of their songs that were played at the event but 6 in total were written/recorded. I hope all 6 aren't on the record because I'd like to hear diversity from the other writers/producers they worked with.

Yeah I'm loving the verse melody and chords, more so than the chorus at the moment... though I think that'll grow on me.
Yes, "Permanent Stain". Weird title but quite catchy. I want songs like these!
overall the songs are really ace IMO. Great work guys!
I'm dreaming of "Soldier" being a huge hit in the whole world :)

Out in the rain looking for sunshine
I call your name its your life that goes
I let you disappear shoulda never let you gooo
I wanna say just for the record
That you still got my heart and my soul
And though were worlds apart I just gotta let you knowww
Great song!

Yeah not yet, they said it's still being mixed so they couldn't play it on the night.
what a coooooooo-incidence!
now they got more news to break later on, keeps them in the headlines etc... smart move. I thought the pre-listen event was a really good idea too. Invite fans, have it broadcast, and just talk rubbish. You can see they were very excited about that too. Overall it sounds like great material.

I thought the same thing! I'm really hoping the reason is that it's going to be the lead single and they wan't to keep it under wraps for as long as possible.
oh I totally agree and I'm pretty sure that's the reason. I'm 100% sure that Max' song will be the lead single. Because they really really need a chart success. And there's no better bet than Max.
BILD newspaper (Europes biggest newspaper) also had an article online and a video about BSB receiving the awards. Keep the buzz coming.
And I hope we get a first impression about the Max and Kristian song very soon. Hopefully it will be the first single and album title.

I like it, its a uplifting summer type song. Kinda like a faster Bigger eh?
Yes, it has similarities in the tone and atmosphere.
Has a bit more of a stadium-feel to it. The pre-chorus is very cool.
I guess it was a candidate for the first single - but then the next "I want it that way" was invented. 8)

Kevin and Nick in the bridge
lol trust me its Nick after Kevin, go watch the Good Morning America special its Nick who sings in the bridge
Permanent Stain is pretty average to me, it's a bit too 'nice'. I want a big song!
I'm very much looking forward to "In a World Like This"!
''Permanent stain'' is a bit generic but a good pop song , the melody is good.
I really like the chorus on "Permanent Stain".......one of those melodies I admire even more because first few times through on first listen I didn't like it, but by the end of the song it clicked, like "ahhhhhh........got it, that's goood" :D

Nothing special so far, a good song anyway. Let's wait for the studio version :)
BUT did they really use the good old Cheiron "snare" sound after the first chorus??? <3
PS: the beginning is melody-wise the same as in Bigger.
Brian was always a Cheiron favorite and no surprise he's used very well in this song especially in the final chorus

Wow, it's quite a grower, three listens and the chorus is really starting to send me into Cheiron heaven. I really don't think it's a such a huge leap from "Bigger", which got so much hate for whatever reason... will be interesting to see how this one goes down.
Amazing song! Great performance!
I hope it does well in the music charts.
In a World Like This when some back down

Wow, sounds really good, pure Pop!
I love the bridge part
I hope the studio version will be Cheirontastic

Ten listens with earphones, it's a drug. Loooooooooooove it!
There are some Cheiron elements in pre-chorus, chorus and bridge expecially.
Thank you Max and the BSB !!! It's so good to come back in the 90's !!!!!

The verse melody is quite similar to "Bigger" I have realised, and I swear the chorus reminds me of a bridge to a song, but I can't for the life of me think what it is yet.

Yup the verses are a broken down version of Bigger, the chorus is just a Cheiron type one, and the bridge is similar to I Want It That Way where the music stops and Howie sings solol
the 2nd part of the chorus sounds more like Luke/Blanco than Max/Kristian in my opinion

I've read that he's involved too. If it's true, I'm guessing it's solely as a producer, they've pretty much covered all the writers they've worked with. I thought they were trying to shed the dance-pop image of the last album, so I hope whatever he's done this time is different from his usual work.

Yeah. He is ultimately too much repetitive, he should have renew his sound.
He can do it for BSB, I hope
They worked with someone called Prophet who worked with RedOne on an artist on his label. I think Prophet either is or was on RedOne's production team.

I'm looking forward to hearing the album released! I'm dreaming of an album with 4-5 Kristian/Max uptempo-midtempo songs, a pair of Rami/Falk uptempo songs and a lot of Magnusson/Kreuger ballads. That's impossible :-\
Brian, Howie, and AJ co-wrote a song with Martin Terefe and I think some Cheiron influence is in the chorus.

Wooooah, thanks for that! The "where people fall apart/nothing comes from the heart" bit uses the high part for the melody, I always thought that was a harmony. That bit actually sounds kinda weird and too loud in the mix and over auto-tuned, but what a crappy sample to be judging by, I'll have to wait for the final.

I can't hear this!
Wow, the chorus has been stuck in my head for days now. Classic Max Martin/BSB song. Really hope it does well for the boys, it has a positive message unlike most pop songs these days.
They have momentum going with the tour, Kevin being back, Good morning america performance, Hollywood star induction, the cameo in the This is the end movie ect.
So hopefully the song does well on the charts.
Edit: Only thing I don't really like from the snippet is the top harmony being isolated on the best part lol. Maybe it's the quality of the snippet. Besides that, it's perfection.
Oh, they seem to have deleted the snippet.
Someone's put it on YouTube.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1fbEpAY3XY (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1fbEpAY3XY)
That high part still sounds wrong to me, I swear it's like listening to a clip that's had the lead vocal almost completely removed, even the way it's sung sounds like backing vocals. I'm crossing my fingers that it's an early mix, hence Amazon removing it.
I was waiting until the full song came out to listen, so this is my first listen (this clip) but you guys got me curious about the vocal part......to me that high part IS the right melody, I mean it's totally beautiful, I can't imagine it being any other way! It wouldn't have even occured to me that anything was off with it....
It's an interesting topic though, because one of my favorite pop songs of all time "After The Love Is Gone" (Earth Wind & Fire) has a VERY high lead vocal melody line in the chorus on the record which the co-writer/producer David Foster originally intended as a harmony part, NOT the lead vocal, but Earth Wind and Fire started performing it that way (the high part out front) and then everyone realized that was the right way after all :D
I don't mind if the higher part is the melody. The reason I assumed the lower part was, is because when they sing "people fall apart", "people" continues into"fall" with the same vocals and same note, so it just sounds like a continuation of the melody. But instead, it seems they've made it so the melody suddenly transforms into a lower harmony while they add a new higher melody on top. That's why I figured the added high part was the harmony. Does that make sense?
The main thing I found off in the clip was the way the higher part is being sung, it sounds completely flattened/smoothed out like a backing vocal. If it's how it's meant to be, I guess I'd better just get used to it! :D
It's the main melody but Brian's voice is an octave higher while AJ is the one carrying the melody which is 1 octave lower just before Brian comes in. There's nothing wrong in it technically, it just feels like it pops out of nowhere and you hear auto tune working a bit too much for the style of the song.
But like I said, it's maybe the quality of the snippet that masks certain frequencies that make brian's vocals stand out like that.
Edit: Actually it's not an octave higher, I'm mistaken there.
I want to listen to the full song so bad now, especially the verse. This could become one of the best Cheiron songs of all times.

Haha I was watching this the other day, it has a few funny moments. Yeah AJ starts off a bit flat, if you keep an eye on Nick, you can see his funny initial reaction, then he does the whole tuning the guitar thing to AJ to make fun of him. Howie singing "and now Nick's free balling" was the best bit though.
Na there's no key change in this, but I'm genuinely interested to know what gives you that impression. :) I grew up learning to play, so it's hard to know how non musical people hear things. I'm guessing the bit after Howie's part is where you're hearing it?
It's at 2:45 somehow I thought this might be a different key, but when the normal chorus is on again I hear it is the same key.
Its should have a counter melody lol, but who am I to complain.

Yeah if they were to do a key change, it's right at that spot Max would normally place it, like in "Shape Of My Heart", so I think that's what creates the illusion for you. Especially given that they've used the good old drum hit right at that moment too, and then AJ goes into his improv style vocal, it's all familiar territory and you expect the key change to go along with it.

If you didnt know it, he used it in Britney's Oops (in the 22nd mark) (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DEsqGOHo0nI)
Yeah, it's true! Have you a list of all typical Cheiron sounds?
I never knew if those "poppy" Cheiron elements have, musically, a specific name. I would like to know.
^No actually those are some random names for their sound I named ;D I don't know the musical terms of them actually. But I am a huge fan!
Wow so much has happened since I was last on! Well we now know that the Amazon clip was pretty much the correct mix, so that sorts that out. What does everyone think of the album cover? It's growing on me.
ITS OFFICIALLY UP http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=_awMIEdF25Q#!
The ending is amazing! 2:15 til the end is just perfect.
Aaaaaaaaaagh! :D Who cares about the radio premiere now haha! Thanks Khan.
There's quite a bit of over auto-tuning throughout it, obviously what they wanted for effect, so that chorus part isn't so out of place after all.
Yeah Khan, the last minute or so is incredible, simply incredible. I'm in love.
EDIT: YouTube is going crazy, every five seconds or so someone is commenting on this!
What a historical day.
YAY.
Btw. I hear the helicopters above me as Obama is visiting Berlin.
I hope Obama's going to tune in for the radio premiere, you know, priorities and all that. ;D
I have to say my favourite part of the whole song is the piano before the final chorus, it just takes me away to some far away place, probably called pop heaven.
i love when Brian sings "you will fly, you will fly" Nick "yeah yeahhhh" Brian "In a world like thissss"
Haha, I thought I might walk a few metres and check all the roads that have been full with police but who cares when the new BSB song by our writers is up.
I love the guitar with that sliding sound. I can't describe exactly.
The second verse is so good. How the first chorus goes into the second verse especially. The beat is cheiron-tastic. And so different from the chorus.
And the middle 8 and all what happens then is pure magic. Everything about is perfect and just making me smile. The moment shot before AJ begins to sing, Brian's amazing adlips.
Call me hysterical but this is a masterpiece. :-* :-* :-*
After all, It's not very different from live version.
I really love the bridge. Pop perfection :)
I'm so happy & satisfied
Thank you MAx and Kristian !!!!!!!!!!!!! the song is just a Masterpiece !!!
CHEIRON SONG OF THE YEAR!!!!!
No polls needed this time ;)
It sounds like "The Answer To Our Life", the verses are better than the chorus!
It looks like our guys kinda forgot how to make a perfect pop song for boybands or maybe don't wanna take chances!
Nice try but not what I wanted them to do.
i need some link for germany pls since my google research for youtube proxy wasnt succesful

GOOSEBUMPS!!!
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD the last chorus is unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I mean the whole song I was complaining why they didn't make a chord change at the beginning of the chorus and then it happened in the last chorus - OMG OMG OMG, I was seriously freaking out while listening to the last chorus. INCREDIBLE!!!
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
This is one of my favorite songs this year. A breath of fresh air for pop music.
seriously, I've been making noises, moves, faces I never did ...... THANK GOD I'M ABLE TO HEAR THIS!!!!!!!!

They just added the D chord from the 2nd part of the chorus.
I love how the first part (where it goes "In a world like this.........I-I know we're gonna make it") is almost like a melodic mirror image of the high part of the chorus....first part has kind of a downward melodic direction, and the next part soars up, up.......so satisfying those two parts together!!
WOW , Perfect pop song , I love it! , it has the magic cheiron sound! , I love the melody of the chorus and the bridge final though I miss a counter Melody here , but I dont care , the Bridge is amazing anyway , Thanks for it Guys! ;D
Now I hope to see it in the charts , well maybe I'm a dreamer ::)
Don't get me wrong I think it's REALLY good, but I don't think it's amazing. In a way, I'm kinda disappointed. The vocals are killer, but it doesn't leave me signing anything when I walk away from the song like many of the other Max songs do. I feel like it's very similar in sound to other recent BSB/max stuff like Climbing The Walls or Bigger. I was expecting a new sound.
Now, I Knew You Were Trouble. is simple pop song magic -- I expecting something of that level. Even an unreleased song like "Figure You Out" is fricken amazing and I think is SO much better. It's a shame and a pity it wasn't released...
Anyone else?
It's still in my head, it's catchy as fuck! I can't agree with you at all, gm33!
Funny how I am the only one who's saying it sounds very similar too One Direction's "I Wish". Anyway, "In A World Like This" is more a One Direction song than a Backstreet Boys song.
The first few seconds sound like a One Direction song but then again 1D songs have copied old BSB songs so its full circle. BSB is copying BSB

Which One Direction songs sound like older Backstreet Boys songs??
I mean IAWLT is a modern boygroup song, therefore it would fit One Direction :D
The typical Backstreet Boys sound is for me the sound of their 1999/2000 albums so this song can't be a typical song for the Backstreet Boys in my opinion :P
There are a lot of similarities between One direction's sound and the sound from the Backstreet Boys back then.
QuoteYacoub hadn’t worked with boy bands since he worked with Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC, and he and Falk were initially skeptical if the world was ready for another boy band. But Cowell’s vision was different, He wanted approachability, but with an edge.
Slight edge.
"Simon’s wish [for a sound] was more organic, more guitars, big drums," Yacoub said.
Falk also understood what his task was. "We wanted to bring those 90s sounds back," he said, while still making One Direction sound current.
http://www.sltrib.com/sltrib/blogsburger/54967129-53/falk-yacoub-direction-songs.html.csp
I bet Rami saw potential to bring back some of the magic from back then when he accepted working with One Direction. In A World Like This does sound like the Backstreet Boys, but more guitar driven. A refreshed style from the one back then. One Direction's sound is inspired by the old sound of the Backstreet Boys, but it's still unique enough to call it their own. So there are a few obvious similarities sonically, but you can't really say that they could trade songs and call it their own, there are many differences too.
I don't think any One Direction song would fit the Backstreet Boys simply 'cause it's too "young and fun" and vice versa.
Thanks for the article. Very good read.
Btw. I still have the song in my mind, and I haven't even heard it this morning.

I'm quite willing to say that I don't think it's up there with their classics. I've been asking myself all day why there was so much backlash over "Bigger" when this to me is along the same lines musically, and I still love "Bigger" too. I still say it was just the lyrical concept that caused the dislike with that one. But IAWLT still evokes that old Backstreet vibe for the most part, and I'm guessing that was the brief from the boys, they even said in an interview that they were done trying to reinvent themselves all the time and were just going to do what they did best. So that's my guess as to why Max didn't take it elsewhere. But nonetheless I still think it's a great song, it sounds like Backstreet and it sounds like classic Max, even if it's not their greatest.
B Steady, the drums are pretty similar to "I Wish" aren't they? I haven't listened to it for a while now.
The "You got that one thing" is similar to "I want it that way" no surprise their both 5 words each
Love it! haha im happy to have the song at last! cant wait to buy the album

The album sounds a bit empty , ''In a world like this'' is the best so far. I liked too ''Permanent Stain'' , ''Show 'em (What You're Made of)'' , ''Make Believe'' , ''Feels Like Home'' , ''Soldier''.
Breathe will be my second favourite I guess.
Oh and Japan gets a bonus track. These happen to be highlights too.

I love In A World Like This, it's been stuck in my head for days, but I don't think it's as good as their classics and it's not as special to me as Climbing The Walls or I Still or even Bigger.
Anyway, it's still a great song, it would be so great if it did well in the charts.
B Steady, I agree, it is a lot like One Direction "I Wish".
what a pity to have so much "Martin" in the producers list but only one time a "Max" in front of it :'(
interesting how many songs are co-written by the boys themselves!
In A World Like This is hands down the best song on the album and their best song since "Incomplete" in my opinion!
I really like the album!!! :) Except for "Try" every song is catchy to me!
Permanent Stain & Soldier are my favorites besides IAWLT! So I'll have my favorites at the beginning and at the end of the album ;D
thanks for agreeing, Rebecca!
"Feels like Home" is the only track which sounds very current.
An album of fillers and leftovers IMO. Even "In a World Like This" isn't that amazing, I only heard it twice! :(
Backstreet Boys need to either get the best of Max or just leave eveything for the nostalgia and stop trying!
I agree with you guys, I'm just not feeling this album so far. The clips they played at the preview night sounded promising, but now I'm not so sure. It's almost like a mishmash of Unbreakable and This Is Us. All we can do is wait for the full length tracks and hope there's still a little bit of magic in there somewhere.

Dan Muckala Produced the best songs in the album apart from the Max song.
Chords (by myself)
Intro / Verse: G - C - G - C - G - Dsus4
Chorus: 2 x (C - e - C - G) / 2 x (C - D - e - C - G) / C - D
Interlude = Verse
Bridge: 2 x (C - e)
Mid8: C - D - e - C - G - C - D - e
Final Chorus: 4 x (C - D - e - C - G) / C - D
Just realized that the high piano in the mid8 part is playing the same melody as the vocals sing in the chorus :D
Anyone who is not liking the snippets, can still hope that "Hot, hot hot" and "Light on" are great. :)

OH. MY. GOSH.
The official lyric video was released today and published on the Backstreet Boys official channel. The video shows the lyrics, but also shows key dates in Backstreet Boys' history through a timeline format, notably awards and album release dates, but not really any specifics. However, the end of the video specifically mentions Max Martin!!! SO AMAZING! ;D

No Andrea, no Cheiron! Boo.
But still great they mention Max :)
It's amazing he got mentioned at all. Literally no one else did, except to say Kevin was leaving the band.
It shows that Max is starting to get name recognition. I don't think they would have included it if they didn't think people would be excited by it. Also, maybe it's to show people they are going back to their roots by using Max.

Yeah I'd say it was due to Brian working with him on "Welcome Home (You)", though he has worked on a couple of mainstream releases. I only just realised that Dan produced half the tracks on Jump 5's second album which I think is brilliant! I also like the track "Light Up The Sky" by The Afters which he produced.

Na they usually have a spoken top ten list of random themes. I guess this time they went with Backstreet lyrics just as a way to make them a part of the show.

Oh yeah, I doubt the show invited them on, it would've been a case of them wanting to get on for promo and the producers coming up with this idea. More memorable than singing the new single anyway, might even help sell a few copies.

Although they had released a masterpiece they won't have success , it's a pity , They aren't interesting for the general public.
Of course it's not going to be huge like their older albums, and I think they're comfortable with that now, knowing their audience and just going along for whatever ride there is. I do think this will do a bit better than the last two albums though, thanks to everything they've got going on at the moment. I don't have very high expectations for sales, but I think they're out of that time of their career now, whereas Christina is still sort of expected to pull it off.

Khan9898, I understand but to be honest I just want them to stop dragging their career like that. Sales matter, they make and break artists.
B Steady I don't talk to children you know!
I wouldn't say its dragging their careers its the first time they've ever been on their own. Their record label has screwed with them since Black and Blue and now they have the flexibility to do what they want and how they want to. Sony still has all their songs from the Dirty Little Secrets album that was never released and they worked with so many unique artists and producers.
At the end of the day, BSB music is feel good, comforting, and most of all timeless.
I agree, it doesn't matter about sales as long as their fans like it, that's the main thing, so then they can keep on touring.
Josh, I agree, Christina is still meant to have decent sales.
I love the David Letterman Top 10, really funny.
Why don't they have mass appeal anymore? Because they're too old? I don't think so. I mean, if Taylor sang "In a world like this", it'd be a hit. But yeah, I'm worried too. I don't hear the song played anywhere.

Although they had released a masterpiece they won't have success , it's a pity , They aren't interesting for the general public.

Why will they only be touring in the US and Japan? Why, i probably will never seen them live. :(

Unfortunately when artists go without their labels (even ones that weren't providing much support), things hardly ever seem to work out, because even the least amount of label support is usually still more than the band can manage on their own. It means they get creative control, but I'm not sure that's always for the best either. Some artists have done well going indie, but they seem to be few and far between.
Today on Australia's biggest commercial drive time radio program, the theme of the day was boybands... it was great! First time in many many years that I've heard "Backstreet's Back" and "Bye Bye Bye" on the airwaves.

Yes, I think people think they are too old, even though they're not really that old at all. I think the majority of people want to love the image and not just the songs. Look at NKOTB's "The Block" album, fantastic songs, yet a flop. Then Lady Gaga came out with the similar RedOne songs and she had huge success, because she was young and new on the scene.
Yes, if Taylor sang "In a world like this" it would be a hit.

It was the album in between Black and Blue and Never Gone, recording started in 2002 and it was all ready for 2003 but most if not all was recorded without Nick. They collaborated with Andre 3000, Max/Rami, Billy Mann, Billy Steinberg, members from U2 and Limp Bizkit.

Oh man, a pity there's no BSB/Max/Rami song of 2002/3!!!
I remember them doing a song with Max along the lines of "Cloud 9" and I believe "Poster Girl" from Never Gone was originally recorded for Dirty Little Secrets as "Sunset Girl".

btw Kevin is such a weird person in my opinion, his motions look strange, sometimes I would call it even ga(wk)y :D especially in this video ... also he's the only one standing apart from the group ... Don't know why all the women have the hots for him .... well, women ... ;D
Putting Gay Marriage in America as a big moment in history and having the 2 women signify their love for each other etc
Lol didn't realize its two women
Thx 4 the info!
BTW, a german tv show used "In a world like this" in the trailers for it.
And BILD newspaper (Europe's biggest newspaper wrote about IAWLT and mentioned Max).
At least something.
I've never been a BSB fan (of course I love the Cheiron tracks), but what I especially dislike these days is their fan-club stuff.
Meeting them in Berlin costed LOTS and to preview the new songs (that have been on iTunes already) you also have to be a fanclub member. (which of course costs)
They better had given a little acoustic concert etc. here for the general audience.
I'm not even sure if I will buy the album. I bought "In a world like this". Will stream it and check if it's really worth and matching my taste.

Yeah what Khan said! I thought the same about Kevin, it's like he's standing off to one side doing retro disco moves or something. But I've always liked Kevin, and I think women are only swooning over him now because he's the more mature looking one and most fans are now, well, more mature. It was always about Nick back in the day, Nick Carter and Leonardo DiCaprio left us poor guys much to live up to back then. :D

I think originally the idea behind the whole VIP thing was to give a bit of special attention to fans because there were just too many of them to ever have that experience. Nowadays it might be more a source of income than anything, but I do think they only ever intend to do right by their fans and not just take advantage of them.

UK: Top 105
Germany: Top 40
US: Top 35
Looks good SO FAR :)
oh wow, I hadn't noticed the ending before, it's really nice.
Re Kevin, yes, I suppose he does look pretty gawky. I think he is quite gorgeous though! Yes, Josh is right, it's because he is more mature. However, my favourite is AJ.
Re BSB Fanclub, I think it is fantastic. I am a member, and I have always bought concert tickets through the fanclub and got seats in the first 10 rows at no extra cost. Yes, the VIP soundcheck things are a source of income for BSB, however at least fans are given the oppourtunity to go to the soundcheck and do the meet and greet if they want to pay. Britney doesn't give this option (not that she would need a Soundcheck!)
Turnaround, I didn't realise you weren't a BSB fan! I knew you were a Westlife fan though.
It's a beautiful video. ;D

Martin Terefe is Swedish and theirs 4 of his songs on the album 8)
Quite disappointing album. The only track I really like is "Light On". I knew that Dan Muckala is gonna save it a bit. His "Make Believe" isn't bad as well. The rest of tracks made me bored after the first chorus :(
The chorus in "Light On" is instant. Amazing... That melody!!!
The album is a bit Disappointing , The best are the Single , ''Show em.. '' ,''Make Believe'' , ''One phone call'' , ''Feels like home'' , ''Light on'' and ''In your arms''.

i don't know or get why they included a slew of those slow, acoustic guitar songs. Madeline, Try, etc. they bog down the first half of the record... they should've done like 5 songs with Max!
but Light On, Soldier, Love Somebody, Feels Like Home, and One Phone Call are solid pop gems (Light On's chorus is the best).

Songs with Max are very expensive, thats why there are only a select few that work with Max on a constant basis.
How much are songs with Max? And having the complete package - writing, producing I guess is incredibly expensive.
Max is alongside Rick Rubin probably the only one who is richer than all the artists he's working with :D
and by the way guys, of course there are a few songs from the BSB which I don't like EVEN THOUGH it's the BSB ;)

How much would it cost to a label a Max Martin song? I read somewhere that Timbaland circa 2006-2007 -Nelly Furtado's Loose and Justin Timberlake second album at the top of the charts worldwide- was asking for around US$100.000 for every song.
That's a lot of money.

Incredible. These days when many people stream you need a lot of streams to compensate that.
the reason they cost that much is that with a hit you promote your tour.. and that's where you earn the money. No longer with sales from CDs or such. The songs are required to push the artist. The more clicks you get on youtube, the more likely it is you can fill a concert venue.
Long time ago David Bowie said that there will be a day when songs are given away for free to get people to buy concert tickets. We're not far from that now. That's also the reason why debut EPs are available for free most of the time. You need to spread the word, and you don't do that by charging money for songs by someone nobody knows.
Radio airplay and concerts are where artists earn money. No longer the CD sales. Long time ago concerts were given to promote CD-sales. Now it's the other way around.
Yup tours > CD sales for $$ and the U.S isn't considered the big break through country anymore, the money is in Japan. Strict piracy laws with a very narrow but loyal fan base.

And of course it doesn't sound like the 90's Backstreet Boys but that's nothing new. However the title song got some Cheiron elements.

Agreed... ouch. Their heyday is definitely over, I don't think there's any chance of any sort of major comeback now. Maybe if they'd gone all out and done something really risky it might have done a little better, but who's to know. I think they're happy just doing what they do from here on in, and they still have enough fans willing to support them to make it worth it. It's crazy how the sales dropped from "Never Gone" to "Unbreakable". What on earth happened? Did "Never Gone" sell more based on people's curiosity? Maybe people expected old BSB, were disappointed in the pop/rock direction and as a result didn't bother to buy "Unbreakable"...?
Never Gone was the big comeback album.
Kevin left the band after Never Gone, so maybe many fans thought: they're not the same anymore! Also Kevin has lots of female fans.
Maybe they'll try with another album and if this flops harder than IAWLT they'll tour for the rest of their life :D

I think they've done a better job of promoting this one, in fact with the 20th anniversary among other things, I thought it would've had an even bigger first week. Last album had all the problems with leaked tracks too which didn't help.
I was at least hoping for bigger sales too.
Kevin's comeback, the 20th anniversary, the Walk Of Fame Thing ..... imaging the sales without all these things ...... :(
The world wide sales are 143,000 so far. Could've been worse!!
So being free of Jive didn't really make the difference people were expecting. I bought the album today and I'm not really sure how I feel about it yet. There are some brilliant songs on there, but they keep jumping from electro pop ballads to acoustic soul style tracks and it feels a bit disjointed and quite dull in places. Too much use of Kevin's voice too, I love him as a member but I don't think he has the greatest tone. My favourite at the moment is "Show 'Em (What You're Made Of)".

For a change I have some interesting news to share. :)
When I opened the newspaper "20 Minuten" here in Switzerland this morning, I was quickly breezing through the charts-page until I noticed the headline. "Backstreet Boys are back.... again."
The album has debuted on the pole position. Yep, Number 1. Pushing Daft Punkt to second place.
The text, written by the host of the national chart show on Swiss radio SRF3 mentions their anniversary and temporary joint-venture with News Kids on the Block (which he writes "was ignored by the charts completely". And he continues: "The Boys without the Kids are doing a lot better." . He mentions the star on the walk of fame and now comes the interesting part: "And in Switzerland they can also count on their loyal fans. Each of their albums ranked in the top 10, four of them made it to the Number 1. And this includes their eighth studio album "In a World Like This" which debuts at Number 1 this week. And with that their Swiss fans are even more loyal than their peers in the US where it 'only' shot to 5th place."
"
I'm still waiting for the interesting part ???

Josh, 73 copies in Australia - that is embarrassing!
I don't think that he meant copies ;D ;D otherwise the sales in Australia would be alarming low :D
But maybe 73 copies were enough to reach the top in Switzerland :D
oh now I see! no.73 on the charts! lol
still a disaster!

Well, the beginning was a bit clumsy but from the first refrain on they KILLED it. I'm still amazed by their voices <3 - fantastic performance!!!
Great performance!
This is my review of meeting them and asking some cool Max/Rami, and other music related questions. I posted this on TheDarkSide forum as well.
I went to the Long Island show last night at the Nikon Theatre in Jones Beach. We were told to arrive by no later than 3:15 to pick up our tickets will call. There were a couple lines, one for Jesse's VIP, and one for BSB's VIP. Live Nation's VIP was supposedly later that afternoon but no one had any idea where to go and what line to initially stand on until about after 4.
Once inside the venue, all the VIP's were split based on the level you purchased. My line being platinum, we were the shortest as well as the first group to go in and stand right by the stage. After 15 minutes Kevin was the first to come out, then AJ, Howie, Brian, and Nick. They first sang Madeline on the back stage away from us cause they were playing instruments, I believe 10,000 promises was also done back there. AJ was the first to come up near us and say the rest of the guys were lazy i forget if they sang QPG or not but they were positioning themselves for Permanent Stain.
Then came the QA portion of the soundcheck. One fan asked why we don't get more than 12 songs and they said it came down to royalties and $$. Kevin mentioned them having a couple projects in the near future and to have an eye out, one of them being a acapella album. Brian was right above me and I asked how expensive is Max and he started thinking and I said half a million, he responded $250,000. Then I asked if Rami was cheaper and he said yeah but he's all big all of a sudden with 1D.
I forget the rest of the questions but right when Justin and AJ were about to end the QA Kevin pointed to me and said this dude's had his hand raised, thanks Kevin! I asked about why they went into the genre of music they did for Dirty Little Secrets and Kevin was like what? And then i started naming Jermaine Dupre, Billy Mann, Billy Steinberg, and he was like ohhhh that album. He said they wanted to go back to how they sounded on the first album and they also worked with Soulshock and Karlin as well as The Underdogs. They all wanted the music to be released but the label thought it was too urban and scrapped it. I then asked how they went from that recording process to recording 70's/80 covers to rnb to what actually Never Gone became. The covers were tests and not actually meant to have a whole album worth of them. Nick said Kevin hated Rumors, Best Of My Love was a great song.
Brian was like are you a reporter and everyone laughed and Kevin was like he knows his stuff. After that it was time for pictures, Platinum was last to go. 1 girl infront of me wanted to take a pic of her friend and the security guard was like nope can't do that and was blocking her and Kevin was like can you guys fucking relax please its a picture. The guy was a tall jacked white dude with a hat on, I didn't see him backstage after that at all.
The guy infront of me got hugs but I think cause of my size Brian, Kevin, Nick, and AJ all gave me slaps (bro slaps). I asked them if it was possible for fans to donate money the same way they did for Nick's movie for the guys to help get back unreleased music. Kevin said you can find those songs on Youtube but I was like nah nah I'm talking about Dirty Little Secret songs, The Rain (Brian, Kevin, Nick, and Max song), Say The Word (Kevin acknowledged it), and the Jazzy Pha song (Nick smirked). I quickly went in for a pic and AJ was like that's a fucking awesome idea and someone something about fans not asking about it. I said why wait until the label releases it if we have the money. Right before I left I put my hand on Howie's shoulder and said to call Rami on the next album and AJ/Nick both said yup and looked at Howie with a funny stare.
The green room was a tent where you can hang out until the concert started, absolutely nothing special in it. Pauly D started around 7:15 and went until about 8. His set was really good, I'd def go see him in a one off appearance. When Jesse came on it was like most of the people at the venue was there for him, the crowd went nuts. He killed his performance, he can really sing and deserves to be played on radio too.
BSB came on around 9 with The Call, seeing them live was awesome. I'd have to say Brian's voice both at the souncheck and at the concert was better than usual. Sometimes he was just terrific and sometimes I was scratching my head. During Breathe all the Platinum's went backstage to get ready for the acoustic set. I sat right at the edge of the risers, infront of the entire crowd which was really cool. After that the concert went on and they killed it with In A World Like This, IWITW, Everybody, and LTL.
I'd love to meet them again but I'm not sure if I would do it for $600, hopefully they do smaller venues which means less expensive meet and greets.

Omg , It was amazing that you met them , the question about Rami in the next album was good haha.
Great review, thanks for sharing!
And such good questions, really hope we get the unreleased songs soon.
I wonder if Rami agrees to write with them when also Max is involved? But since Emblem3 have songs by both on their album I guess it is not impossible.
Savan Kotecha, whose career I follow since Westlifes album "Turnaround" is the link between them.
btw, will you share the picture you did with them :)
And is the Dark side board a bsb fan discussion board?
Thanks Khan! up until now I actually thought you must secretly be one of the BSB's best friends to know so much about them!
you asked great questions, and good that Brian confirmed Max's price of $250k per song.
great idea to have a fan funded album, I would contribute.
great suggestion for them to work with Rami again.
Yeah thanks, that was brilliant. Were AJ & Nick looking at Howie with a funny look as if to say "who is this guy"? Haha. Such great questions though, just the stuff we want to know about but never get to ask.

And congratulations to you for the chance to meet them :)
"In A World Like This", the album, has entered the top 50 in Australia at #30. About the same outcome as "This Is Us". I wouldn't expect it to get any higher than that, but it's better than last weeks #73 at least.
Cool that it climbed up :)

Is there anyone else who ever heard about that Max Martin price? It seem to me Kevin was ironic, seems a too high price for our time, maybe 10years ago... ???

Brian said it and if anything he charges more now than back in the day when he was splitting $ with 8 other guys.
You could upload the pic at http://www.tinypic.com for example and post the link to it here :)
Hope you're right Khan, because all I here from the industry is that people is now working at much lower fees than the past, including producers and mixing/mastering engineers... I know the big names of sound engineering like CLA or Maserati now do a lot of seminaries to do some extra money (you know, you pay 3000 a week to learn some tip in some esotic studio in Europe or US). :)
The Neptunes (Pharrell) back in 04/05 were charging anywhere between a quarter million to have a million a track.

I was on stage during the acoustic set, I wasn't supposed to take pictures or anything but I sneaked in a few before security shined a flash light in my face lol we were probably on stage for 10 mins or so.
Great photo Khan!
Khan, I saw your post on the backstreet boys soundcheck as well...I think this raising money idea is awesome, but we would definitely try to find a way to contact their management or groundctrl to get the facts of how much money it would be. Anyway, I was just curious...who owns the songs right now, the label or the producers? Who would have to agree to sell the songs so that we could raise money to help the boys buy them..cause they can't be bought if whoever owns them right now isn't willing to sell them. I hope we can accomplish something...I know the boys will agree with it if it's well organized and thought.
Ps: I'm kinda curious about how you know all these things about DIrty Little Secrets and their unreleased songs...maybe Brian was right and you are a reporter? Lol...jk

Will there even be a second single??
I was wondering this myself just yesterday. I think they'll pull together one more single, do a cheap video and leave it at that. Poor BSB. :(
Not Max related, but Herbie Crichlow posted on FB today that he woke up to a email from Nick Carter, he seemed happy. Not sure if it was friendly reasons, documentary, or future music collaborations.
It's awesome anyway they're still in touch :)
btw really had to laugh at this comment:
"I was about to say, did he tell you to finally quit playing games with his heart?"
;D
PS: isn't nick carter your man crush lolll :D
New single is "Show 'em (What You're Made Of)"
Wonder if they shoot a video for it. Do they still promote this album?
Well I think they've picked the perfect track, to me this is as good as "In A World Like This". I'm not expecting it to go anywhere, but good choice nonetheless.

Good choice.
They are actually in Europe for the next 3 weeks promoting the album and single. They were in Italy a few days ago and I believe are in Spain now.
Yes, I noticed they will perform at a Stefan Raab show and are guests at a popular talk show.
Quite nice how they still try to make it.
They've visited the Spanish Show ''El Hormiguero'' , it was great to hear their hits , Very funny , A pity they didn't sing.

Shellback also in the picture. I want to finally listen to some new material by him.

has it really been four months since I was on on this form? bloody hell.

I love the photos of them in Sweden with Carl Falk and Shellback etc
exciting they have announced concert dates in Europe
I can't believe they haven't been to France before! that is great Nico.

Really as simple as that.
It's videos like these when you realise which high-standard the video for "Incomplete" was for example.
Don't know if this is available outside Germany - but here is the appearance at the talk show.

I don't mind the video and I like the song. Yeah, the video is very simple, of course it doesn't compare with Incomplete, that video was stunning, maybe one of their best.
I have my ticket for Paris :)
In a UK interview they were asked about a rumor of starting to work on a new record in Sweden and Nick was like where did you hear that and Kevin confirmed that they were in the studios writing and Brian said their always working on stuff. I'm going to assume that they were writing with Rami, Carl, Shellback, and possibly John Amatiello.
I hope they're working with Rami and Carl Falk. I'd love for them to work with Greg Wells and Greg Kurstin too.

I'm almost sure they're working with Martin Terefe.

It was absolutely worth it :) :) :)

I just saw the Backstreet Boys live. That's a childhood dream coming true. My life is feeling much more complete now. :)
They played (among others)
We've got it goin on
Quit playing games
Everybody
As long as you love me
10,000 promises
Larger than life
I want it that way
Show Me The Meaning Of Being Lonely
Don't want you back
The one
The call
Shape of my heart
In A World Like This
You're very lucky!!

I was so happy that they played 10,000 promises. Would've never thought that :)
An actually "unknown" Denniz PoP song :)
They played 22 songs
6 of them were from the "new" album
12 of them were cheiron songs :)
The other 4 were I'll never break your heart, all I have to give, incomplete and safest place to hide
Quote from: Jules on March 04, 2014, 08:09:15 AM
You listed 13! :P
In A World Like This is not a Cheiron song :P

Oh, so you consider only these songs a "CHEIRON song" that are recorded *AT* CHEIRON Studios. I consider every song written and/or produced by any of the original CHEIRON writers a "CHEIRON song". ;)
I do too Jules
B Steady, I love that setlist!! I'm glad you had a great time. That's fantastic they sang "Don't Want You Back". If only one day they would sing "Get Another Boyfriend" again in concert.

sorry, I meant to quote you, but then accidentally modified your post! but I changed it back.
B Steady, did BSB have a live band in their concert or just a backing track?
They had a live band but not on stage.
On a few songs they played the instruments by themselves.
Did they have the original sounds/samples?
I was always annoyed when Westlife played the song differently from the originals. They even changed chords... :o
All the instrumentals sounded good, of course they also used some original sounds as well but there's one song that has such a weird live instrumental, and they're using for years already: I want it that way :(
#1 the rhythm is different
#2 on the album instrumental you can hear a piano in the chorus which is backing the "ain't nothing but a heartache/mistake" / "I never wanna hear you say" parts with the same melody. But it's far in the background whereas live it's far in the foreground. That sounds horrible!
#3 the chord progression is so important in this song, in the verses it's 3 x F#m-D-A and then 1 x F#m-E-A and believe it or not: they played F#m-E-A throughout the whole verses -.-
no words can explain how much these guys changed the music industry. This my friends was real true music! Im so happy that I got to be a part of that era! I will always have that amazing memory from my childhood! I loved nsync too but I always said every one of these guys were gooood looking, talented and original!! Especially AJ! of course I had go with the bad boy!! haha
Are they the only ones? Are they original? Are they sexual?

Thanks BSteady, I'm glad they had a live band. A few years ago on their This Is Us tour they just had a DJ who pressed a button and played the backing track - it was a little disappointing, so I'm very pleased they're using a live band again.

yeah!
Herbie Crichlow and Arnthor Birgisson were at the BSB show in Stockholm this past weekend. Herbie was tagged in pics hugging Kevin, Brian, and AJ during the middle of the concert.
Fantastic. Are these pictures available for the public?
It must be so cool to listen to songs you have written a long time ago and people still singing along and having a good time.

Glad you enjoyed the concert! it sounded great.
Got this link from a BSB forum called TheDarkSide. Nick played a cut song from In A World Like This called "Where Is the Love". AJ starts the verse, Nick does the pre chorus, Howie/Brian do the ooo's. Second verse Brian starts out and Kevin comes in. Not sure if its Max but it sounds "somewhat" similar to the build up of IAWLT.

Thanks, it's a really nice song.
In A World Like This has a few similarities to Taio Cruz' World In Our Hands
Anyone can guess the title of the song?
"Where is the love" - probably?

The verses of In Our Hands is so BSB, they even had Taio do the signature Brian/AJ Cheiron huh prior to the 2nd verse.
Nick recently played the song Rumors at an afterparty last week in Dublin. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Us_hrGGAp6I
They recorded the song in the early stages of Never Gone, it was a cover from the 80's I believe. It has a Rami production sound to it compared to the original.
Does anyone have the chance to get the multitracks/stems for In A World Like This?
We could get the snare FX used in 2000 :'(

Sorry for posting in a old thread but BSB recently had a cruise in Europe and during one of their acoustic concerts, Nick mentions that "I Got You" was written by Max with the inspiration of his daughter who had just been born. Brian backs up Nick on the song which is nice to hear.

Thanks Khan, that's a really nice story. I have never heard that before.
can we also mention how brilliant their voices sound in that clip, also in other clips from that cruise! (besides Brian's issues due to illness)
No problem Rebecca :D
I think Brian sounded much better on a lot of songs in his soft, falsetto voice. During some songs he carried the group which was rare.

Amazing. Such good vocals. People love it. Time for a proper comeback. I don't like the version of IWITW though. Not a good arrangement.
And the iTunes positions for the new release:
The New Best Of
iTunes:
#13 Germany
#16 Switzerland
#39 Austria

It's their arrangement since years already. I don't like it either but I got used to it
The drums are taken from the The Human League song "Human".
in other news:
Mike Posner recently posted a pic on twitter with the boys.
And his last album was mainly produced by Martin Terefe - just like In a World Like This.
So, BSB + Posner + Terefe anyone?
Count me in!
The clothes are awful.
And these girls are from another world: Nick and Kevin are way tall and they're at least 15 cm above them! hahaha

Chipotle is back with another heart bomb with "A Love Story," and the reason we're talking about a fast food company's four-minute animated commercial on this site is because it features a cover of Backstreet Boys' "I Want It That Way." It's a duet performed by Alabama Shakes' vocal powerhouse Brittany Howard and My Morning Jacket's Jim James, produced by Blake Mills.
New song is by Ryan Tedder.
