Hey guys I've found some Stabs or Orchestra Hits that are used on most part of Cheiron productions.
They're all from Roland stuff and previews available on synthmania.com just make a search on google with words synthmania and the name of any of the following instruments name:
056 OrchestraHit
070 4 Hits 4 You
073 Tekno Hit 1
074 Tekno Hit 2
075 Tekno Hit 3
110 Triumph Stab
111 Street Stab
Also the Downtown Beat from PowerFX is available here: http://powerfx.com/products/989253403
do you want these sounds cause i can try to sample these sounds from the roland JV for you for kontakt!
but it will take some time.
also please tell me if you need more sounds from the expansion boards.
just write the patch number
Also the reverse is 076 Reverse Hit:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZgcBUCyMI4
Would be great if you could rip 070, 071, 073, 074, 075 and 076.
I don't know if there's other sounds used by Max Martin I haven't really listened to all of them...
Anyway you can just upload wavs I don't use Kontact, so u can avoid to waist time doing the whole Kontact thing ;)
Also the kind of reverb effect under then snare (actually the real one, without the snare, because I noticed a lot of people sampled the one from Oops!...I Did It Again instrumental), used in different Cheiron songs would be great too...if it has been identified.
it will be hard to find the sonar ping sound
I have one but I doubt it's the same

of course.. its not the real deal.
but i think its impossible to know where this sounds comes from if we not ask max himself
Or listen to the whole presets in the instrumentations xD
On other messages I've found someone talking about the bang and baow by Oops I Did It Again.
The "bang" (or Piano Attack, as named in some multitracks) is said to be done by mixing
jv2080 "power piano" and Akai S3000 preset "QC - Drone"
The "baoww" sound (I think they mean the Larger Than Life intro effect or the fx under that "voice") is from sound module Emu Audity2000 - preset N33.
Is someone able to check it?

i dont have emu audity but i have proteus2000, emu mo phatt, vintage keys, extreme lead, planet phatt, virtouso.
the thing is called backstreet bass
im gonna try to check with emu audity maybe..
what is the piano attack sound? can someone upload an example of it.
there is also one more sound im interested in its called the synth sound.
in this video you can heart it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xhwj_zb77fU&list=UUsiSmzL5G7VS_pfKMXqmcjw
0.21 seconds its like an arp beep beep sound
and 2.10 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AJWtLf4-WWs
its funnny but all the sounds come from EMU modules that were created around 2001 or 2000. so we have all the sounds
now im wondering if max martin is using the latest gear to make new sounds for his songs if u know what i mean.
This is the Piano Attacks that comes from Rami's "What makes you beautiful" multitracks and it's the sound that appears also in most part of Cheiron songs

BIARIN CHOOYYYY
O.o
wut ?
IDK what he means...
Anyway I got info about the FX under the snare used in a lot of Cheiron songs.
I've talked with some one from Maratone and he told me that they have all the JV 2080 expansions so the FX comes from there...it reminded a lot the Manic Shots so my feeling about it coming from there was true...
oh ok.
did u ask him what expansion it was coming from?
Did you speak to tom talooma from maratone.. i bet it was him!
Yeah I asked him to be more accurate and I'm waiting for reply.
Yes. He was Tomas :)
Its nice of him to answer personally. and not holding back. or tell its a secret
I hate this it's a secret thing...I mean it's something that is in the instrument equipe...I don't understand why they don't tell it publicly the name of the sound...I've passed days downloading and listening clips from Synthmania but not all the patches and present are previewed...
I've also asked to Per Magnusson but he read the message without answer :'(
I don't think they reply because looks A LOT like a stalker.

It's all in the mind
Sure probably they read that question timea and times again...
I got information about the snare FX from Per Magnusson directly.
They used to call the FX with the name of Sonar. He has no idea where the original thing come from but basically it was a pitched down submarine sonar and most part of the Drums and FX sounds (for drums I guess) were taken from Akai S1100 and S3000.
He pointed that obviously he's not using Akai anymore.
WTF thats crazy? So that is a sample of a sound ...
but you could google a sonar ping sound and download and then layer with whatever snare u want
Actually I did searched for a Sonar Ping but actuallyif I try to pitch down I don't get the same result...I guess he hinted that the sonar ping is from Akai and then they pitched it down. But I've also searched for the words roland sonar ping and it actually has a sonar ping patch for a roland...I don't know how it sounds like because there's no preview sample...
But I guess all the drums and drums FX sets are taken from Akai as hinted by Per..
At thins point I don't know who believe...Tomas from Maratone or Per Magnusson..

Yep found that too.
But there'a lot more missing because after using these samples he started layering pianos to create other stabs but they're hard to find.
I'm not sure if this was noticed before, but the "sonar ping" you all seem to be looking for was used in the beginning of Oops!...I Did It Again (I think) right before the drums start to kick in; however, it was in reverse. Just something I noticed, here I took it from the song and reversed it for you all. You're gonna have to pitch it or something.

Funny you'd say that, as I can't seem to find any audio examples of said synths. But, I did find this pack. http://store.payloadz.com/details/748337-music-soundbanks-roland-jv-2080-wave-samples-with-kontakt-files-.html
I don't know if they'll workshop together...I never found sample from those 2 things
Alright, so I've been looking into the akai s3000 it appears that its samples come from some floppy discs along with some preloaded sounds. Is qc-drone a preloaded sample? Or does it come from a floppy disk? If so, then which one?
I don't know i found these info online...
I just wanted to chime in, You can actually find a lot of the synth stabs as well as the original drum loop for "You drive me Crazy" and "Show me Love" in an Ueberschall product called "Essentials of the Order". You will recognize a lot of stuff in that pack from music from the 90's. Just an FYI.
Haven't found the sample pack in WAV :'(

Probably so.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9rJzxLqGJ04 I know I've linked this before, but this, in my humble opinion, is a really cool remix. It's got the piano attack from o.i.d.i.a. and the b.o.m.t. stab in it, too most notably. Not to mention the piano stab in it's separate layers.

Yes but I think it's just part of a preset in a synth like the JV1080 or something? Because this stab is used in Shorty 101's "Get With Me" and A*Teens "That's What It's All About". There is a handful of other songs and remixes, so i'm strongly believing it's a preset of some sort?
There's lots of stabs on the JV, LOTS.
It's almost hard to listen to all the stuff that synth has.

Those are piano attacks as labeled by Rami on One Direction's What Makes You Beautiful session.
Team got the preset for sure but other producers out of Cheiron probably sampled the sound from Oops I Did It Again instrumental.
I used to play and filter that sound and u can also hear a layered vocal from Britney saying OOPS

I think it's the same as Baby One More Time...
But for most of those stabs and hits we have to wait for RolandCloud to upload the digital stuff in VST since you can decide wich effects to layer to re-create the stabs as Cheiron did back in the days...
For example the ManicShots patch is a composition of sounds but in some of Cheiron production u can hear the same patch but with sounds layered with different volumes...

I suggest searching in EMU EmulatorX vst. Planet phat is full with useful hits, and it is a much better source than the Roland Cloud romplers which indeed seems to only cover a small portion of the layers necessary for the Cheiron stab.

Actually I want the same sounds used by Cheiron not some random sample to emulate
Yeah, since you are aware of the gear list of Cheiron and Maritone, you know that EMU is indispensable in their sound design, among them the planet phatt. I know how much you like to imitate cheiron sounds and obviously there is not a preset that sounds exactly like how it sounds in their songs because they layer and probably hard EQ these hits/stabs. But I really think you should go through the EMU Emulator if you want to use a plugin or else check out the hardware module. EMU made a gold mine in the 90's and that's why they became the real deal.
Oh I forgot I have Emu Emulator X but it's pretty tricky to use and listen to the whole stuff..
Yes it is. I currently use version 3, 64bit on windows 7 FL STUDIO. If you load the complete bank at once, then you can go to the 'sampler' page and go through the presets there quite effortless.
