Ava Max dropped her fifth single off her upcoming second album "Diamonds & Dancefloors" called "One of Us" today.

Link: https://youtu.be/1DjcnWLFNXk

Written by Ava Max, Brett McLaughlin, Caroline Ailin, Cirkut, and BURNS
Produced by BURNS & Cirkut

The album comes out on January 27 and she's already posted snippets of almost all the tracks expect for Sleepwalker and One of Us.

Snippets (in case you've haven't heard)

Ghost: https://www.tiktok.com/@avamax/video/7183059759266925866

I like all the snippets but I have to say that my favorites out of the snippets in terms of catchiness have to be Hold Up (Wait a Minute), Get Outta My Heart, Ghost, In the Dark (reminds me of PinkPanthress), Turn Off the Lights (love the vocoder effect), and Cold as Ice (love the choir effect). Diamonds & Dancefloors and Last Night on Earth are growing on me but I love the chorus in the latter.

I don't think I dislike a single snippet/released song by her on the latest album, it's amazing

melodicmoonlight

One of Us is so grating and abrasive, why did she release it as a single? Hate the beat

Ava Max: I almost lost my career [INTERVIEW]

"So many bad things have happened in my life in the last 12 months. I thought I wouldn't survive it. I was lost," says Ava Max, who is celebrating her comeback with her latest single, "Million Dollar Baby." - The emotions that accompany us at parting resemble the death of a loved one. You're sure you're not going to make it through all of this,' he adds.

I didn't know she and Cirkut broke up.

nanofives

I can't find anything other than that interview, Cirkut still keep most of the photos they took together, although I can recognize some deleted posts. On Reddit they say that they broke up years ago and MYTP is about a recent guy she's been spotted last year together.
She is doing a great job on keeping her private life outside the media, or the media just doesn't care about her or her career.
I just hope this doesn't mean the end of a long saga of Cirkut masterpieces.

Pretty bland. But good for Cirkut and Omer for getting so many placements lately. They seem to be the in demand producers

I didn't know she and Cirkut broke up.

"Max is cautious with what she shares. She went through two break-ups over the last three years, and the second one, a relationship she ended last June, "really killed me." By the time she ended that relationship, she'd already released Diamonds & Dancefloors's lead single "Maybe You're the Problem,"".

"Max chose to postpone the record and get back into the studio with Cirkut, who she calls the "Einstein of music" and her best friend"

Apparently she broke up with Cirkut years ago but they're still friends, it's incredible how little information about her is publicly online

The album is amazing from start to finish, I still believe that it's mostly a Cirkut album with a lot of recycled lyrics from her last album, the formula works but I think Ava continues to not develop a personality. I don't know if it's good or bad.

I also think this is kinda disappointing, but they're far from filler songs, unholy sits weirdly at the middle of the album, they knew it was the best song they got and it was too good to be true.
