A singer songwriter from Carne's Crossroads South Carolina moves to Laurel Canyon California and meets some of the best song writers and producers in the world and they happen to come from Sweden. What was created out of that chance encounter is Carolinaliar. Now based out of Los Angeles and Stockholm this six piece is a hybrid of U2 and the E street\ band infused with vocals in the vein of the Killers, Coldplay and Kean . The first full length record is set to be released in early 2008 on Atlantic Records.
Everything is really getting great and crazy! Thank you guys for all the support through out the last years. We just finished a month of Recordings at Conway studios in Hollywood with Producer Max Martin, Tobias Karlsson, Johan Shuster and super engineer Doug Mckeen. These recordings are going to the mix room! I can't wait to play them for you and see what you think.

I have the album and it's really a good production.
I heard a snippet of the album and I didnt really like it....I did like one song only which called "Last Night".
I think it is a great rock album , but I wish max martin come back with the pop

Here we go, some highlights.
"I'm not over": Great start for the album, lots of energy in the production.
"Coming to terms:" Beautiful ballad with a great mixture of guitars and piano. The melody is so pure pop and reminds me of Brit-pop bands.
"Last night": Definitely a highlight. Timeless rock song with a edited sounding voice and a "Since U Been Goon"-ish chorus. Very interesting electronic sounds in the chorus.
"Show me what I'm looking for": This reminds me of one of my favourite bands from the UK, "Embrace". Just enjoyable.
"Done stealin'": Uplifting melody, great ballad.

oh my goodness! I received this album on Monday, I agree with you guys, it is truly amazing! Definitely the album of the year!! Every song is fantastic, I've been listening to it non-stop and still trying to absorb it it all, so much detail in the songs. Production is amazing of course, but the songwriting by Karlsson and Wolf is excellent. I don't really know much about Tobias Karlsson, I first thought he must be part of Carolina Liar and I'm surprised he's not in the band as he co-wrote nearly every song.
I can't decide what my favourite song is, maybe "Show Me What I'm looking For" and "Last Night".
