Reece Mastin won X-Factor in Australia and his first single "Good night" sounds really a LOT like "Raise your glass"

And I liked it..

Unexpected

I heard this yesterday and I was shocked, this is a rip off, but still a good song TBH.

OH my god, guys, you are so right, it's a blatant sampling of Raise Ur Glass! It would've been so much better if they made him a more cheiron-like track, don't ya think?

Feelgoodlies

Wow, I was totally thinking the same thing... it's not half as catchy though... pretty middle of the road.

Out

I think it's more about copying common trend than stealing melody. Max always has loads of followers so I'm not angry and even like this track :)

I agree about the trend copying, but I dunno, this one kinda feels like more of a direct copy of Raise Your Glass, or at least was directly influenced by it. Given the guitar intro, the drum hits before the chorus, the four to the floor rhythm in the chorus. Just sucks that the production by comparison is a bit too generic. They've got the elements sort of right, but haven't executed it half as well. I don't blame them for trying, but this to me just comes off as a formula copy for the sake of making a hit. Either way, it's worked (#1 in Aus for the second week).

Rebecca

oh wow, it's a complete rip-off! I don't mind the song, but not nearly as good.

Australia loves the P!nk sound, still #1

It would be great if he works with the real Max on his album.
