Interesting that they referred to healthy competition in cheiron when describing the atmosphere at the studio back then. I think that's key when it comes to improving your skills in any domain.

his name is Mike WiLL Made-It, not Diplo
I translated and says there will be a 4 chapter radio special in Sverige's Radio about Cheiron, with Max Martin himself and people talking about his legacy.
These are good news!

Why you gotta be so rude? don't you know I'm human too?
This is so exciting! yes please if someone could translate that would be fantastic!
This happens tonight, so hopefully someone can record it and let us know what was said by Max. Thanks to anyone who can do this! ;D
Mostly this first episode was about the Cheiron years. Denniz, some interview segments with Max, Rami and the others about the success and eventually moving on from Cheiron. No real in depth information on the songwriting and stuff like that. Pretty similar to the documentary from 2008. Max also talked about his "cold years" between Cheiron and Kelly Clarkson. How working with Serban was a big reason for him finding success again and also how he listened to lots of indie-rock, which inspired him a lot. The episode ended with introducing Shellback and Max saying that he's the most talanted guy he's ever met and Rami said that he's a genius. So I'm guessing next episode will be more interesting.

thank you! so Rami said Shellback is a genius?
Yeah. Note that this was during the "in the next episode" section, so only short soundbits. But the shellback interview was recorded in the studio so im hoping for som songwriting/production nerdery (if thats a word)!
Hopefully we will have this interview in english soon! :)
Really great episode today!
Wish I understood Swedish! :(((
Short recap perhaps. This episode was all about the Max/Shellback partnership. Mostly Shellback. We got the whole story on his name, how he got to where he is today and why he's soo good. He played his original Moves Like Jagger-demo, some isolated tracks from Shake It Off and there were some small tips from Max/Shell. Nothing major though, but very interesting insights. Next episode Will be about Max's LA studio.
Can someone please summarize this episode!!!!
Anything new?

Yes, they mean Wolf Cousins! Kind of true.
Anyone knows the address? :D
Roslagsgatan 36 :)
Jesus, there are five 30 minutes long interviews to translate, we need to hire somebody :).
I'd say that, given you have general knowledge about the history of Cheiron/Max/Shellback/Wolf Cousins, there is only maybe 5 minutes worth of really interesting material unless you're really into hearing Max talk about the importance of subventioned music education in Sweden :)
give us the 5 minutes of interesting info :)
This is thread where someone mentioned that they a clip to Shellback's original recording/demo of the "Moves Likes Jagger"
tune?
Anyone have a link to that? Is it pretty much the same melody as the final version? with the "whistle" hook?
Thanks!!

Nice gif for your profile :-)
Yea that one I also found on youtube earlier - that's him I think stuff strumming along to the end version.
But I believe I read on this thread that in 1 of the Swedish interviews, either tv or written - (Probably TV)
that there was a clip of his original melody that he recorded on his own..
A member from the Facebook group "Max Martin Appreciation Society" translated the chapter 1 of this interview :)

Moves starts at around minute 23 but you can hear other songs too through the interview.
Best regards!
The interviews are great and very interesting!
I understand parts of it, but it would be great to see a translated version.
Max tells that in college he went to the same class as Klas Ahlund og Alexander Kronlund. Lots of great, new information! 8)
And yes, there's a chapter where Shellback plays his original demo of "Moves Like Jagger". The melody is almost identical to the final one but he's using nonsense words for the lyrics.
Can't wait for the next chapter!
I'd really really really enjoy to read Chapter 2 of the program. Any chance to find the translation? I know it's my fault for not being a swede...
Hello there! I'm new to the forum, but I'm old at studying and obsessing about MXM and all that.
I've read several threads on this website over time and when I heard about the mxm interview I flipped out.
I managed to get the whole 2hs14min interview translated by someone and have just finished reading it all. It was so emotional getting so much access to information I value so much. I'm editing the translation as we speak, it had some spelling mistakes and stuff, but when I'm done I'll uploaded it and link it. =)

Yeah it was also cool to realize Shellback was part of moving things forward. MM talking about him being the one coming up with the weird melodic ideas. Very cool to learn about all that.

Thanks so much for this translation, hitmkr. It was such a wonderful, inspiring read. I found the link on the Facebook Max Martin Appreciation page.
I have a rather standard article about Max that I try to keep updated and include interesting, relevant links for Martin fans. I hope you don't mind if I have included a link to your translation! The page receives a fair amount of global views. http://hub.me/a81rz
Thanks again! Your work with the translation is deeply appreciated.
That's awesome Rebekah! Glad to hear you're spreading the word, your page is great too btw!

ps: you mispelled Cheiron on the link (you wrote Cherion)
Thanks. I'll fix that spelling error. 8)

Max's sadness is my joy haha
In January, there is another chance to listen to the radio interview with Max about Cheiron. I think it is the same one as before, they are just airing it again, for anyone that's missed it.
