Really love this one, for some reason Rami is credited as "Rami for MXM Productions" which is a nice little detail but kinda odd to keep consistency on the database because you can search him on Tidal as Rami Yacoub, just Rami and that.
Nice sounding record.
Thank you Mariano!

I'm surprised: Skrillex? Sabrina Claudio? Labrinth? AG Cook? Honey Dijon?
Curtis Alan Jones is a DJ and produced known as Green Velvet.
Moi Renee? She was a drag queen in the 90s who released a couple song and one of those is called "Miss Honey".
Donna Summer+Giorgio Moroder+Peter Bellote? That's a Donna Summer sample.

It's too many writers and producers to list them all.
I don't like the song, although I think I don't like Beyoncé at all, the hook is fine.
Meh.

Don't be surprised. Very likely 100% of these songs on the Beyonce album were picked by the record label after they were presented to them as demos. This practice happens especially with A list artists such as Beyonce and Rihanna. There are actually lists of the record labels where they communicate to writers what type of songs they want to place with their artist so you can adjust your demo to their demands.
I mean, she is the curator of her project. She chooses collaborators through her A&R team and guides the process I think.
Or am I being way too romantic?
I don't know the ins and outs of her specific project, but what I presume is that she gets to hear a bunch of demos which were selected by A&R and then picks what appeals to her emotionally. When the record gets done, it is presented to the label and they give it a go or not (see beyonce documentary of I am sasha fierce or its succesor I believe). If they don't give it a go, they might force certain songs on you or the album won't get released. This also happened with Ed Sheeran on the album with Shape of You. If there was no record label involved, shape of you wouldn't have been on the album - and probably wouldn't even exist as we know it now - but the record label insisted on a rhythmic song like that one or else the album would be too dry. This is documented in the documentary on that album.
But these are established artists. I don't think any recording artist with the same status as Britney Spears had in 1999 has more than limited influence on the songs on the album if they are marketed big time by the label.
How do record labels check if something is ready for release? Do they want every song to be good? No, there are singles and there are fillers. Fillers are unimportant songs and as far as the quality is medium and it falls within the concept of the whole, it is likely to be acceptable for release. They can let rihanna work on a song here and there but they won't end up being the singles cause of lack of quality (i mean, most artists are not max martin, steve mac, mutt lange or greg kurstin). Depending on how many singles the label likes to release (nowadays it's mostly 2 singles, back in the days 5 was more common), they check if there are songs that can deliver as a single. If there are enough songs with that potential + acceptable fillers, you are ready for release.
When listening to new music I barely listen to fillers - often i despise them - but just focus on the singles. There is much more to learn in listening to singles which are picked by a bunch office guys who believe that these songs have a chance of climbing the charts.
I also tend to ignore filler songs when they're not made by big producers or producers that I like, more often than not when I do they're just boring songs.
Kesha's deconstructed was probably the way she wanted to go with Warrior, and even though it's not bad, it's certainly not as fun, catchy or successful as the original album.
Coming back to albums as a whole, Kesha's Warrior I think it doesn't have a single filler song in there, even in the deluxe edition, that feeling is not something I've been finding recently.
Maybe one recent exception for me would be Sigrid's How To Let Go, but I think that's more to do with Sly taking the lead as the producer of the whole album. Same with Dawn FM or Music of the Spheres with Max.
In Beyoncé's case she's an established artist with all the resources needed. She could do ANYTHING.
Since 2013's Beyoncé album I guess she's doing what she wants, not much in a commercial way. Looks like she's trying to expand her brand and build a statement musically instead of having mega hit singles. She charts high because she's Beyoncé and her brand sells on its own.
After all, it's a 25 year career.
Beyonce is not able to do anything with her having the last say. Yes, she has the right to bring in ideas and yes they will respect her input and take it into consideration properly. Do you know how much money record labels invest in the marketing of their A artists? It's an incredible amount and they will never allow their star to have the last saying.... Believe me, without the record label Beyoncé would have fallen harder, just like has happened to Michael Jackson with Invincible in 2001 or Prince since he decided to go without a record label. In fact, the record label depends on how much money they make with the A artist. All the other artists are not effectively influencing the revenue and are not able to generally speaking, since the marketing budget is a necessity.
50 Cent explained it, someone sent this to me recently: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/4QSQir7NMUA
The whole African album was a record label scheme for taking over the African market (without success admittely). They used that great song 'Brown Skinned Girl' (yes that's not sarcastically) to conquer that market but as I followed the charts in several African countries (especially Nigeria) it had a hard time on there. It must be noted, however, that the song is a stayer even though it didn't dominate the African charts as it should have done. Nevertheless, that whole African thing was a record label scheme and they put everything on conquering Africa and the lesson they learned from it was that the African market is not that interesting after all for the record label's interest. They are quiete nationalistic and like their own artists before foreign artists and people stream music and the amount of the population willing to invest their money in buying music is relatively low compared to places such as Europe, North America and North East Asia.
And streaming is uncontrollable. Radio/TV were controllable, you push a song, you reap some profit. Now labels push a song on every spotify playlist and people listen it for two weeks and just skip it later although label wasted resources on that songs being in that playlist.
50 cent is smart.
Bots are used to boost streams is one of my suspicions based on streaming data per hour. So there is some control. Labels are also influencing tiktok and meta - for example to add their songs on top of the recommendation list - and last week kobalt revoked all their music (this includes mxm music) from either meta or tiktok, not sure but google it iff u wanna know.
Well, big budget projects are not the trend nowadays.
Usually, people dies to work with such a high profile artists and you don't ask for money when Beyoncé calls. The amount of publishing you receive is more than enough. An adding "produced songs for Beyoncé" to your bio is a big deal. After the pandemic, people can work remotely and send files back and forth.
Probably, some of these producers didn't even meet Beyoncé.
She's signed to Columbia Records through Sony. She doesn't own her masters and the revenue comes mainly from three things: publishing, touring and partnerships with brands.

I love the wahwah bass layer.
I just couldn't find a proper place to post this but this song from Britney didn't make the Baby One More Time album and it's called "The Other Side" it's clearly a Cheiron song.
PS IT'S A LOOPED SHORT SNIPPET LEAK.
I love her voice here.
