Maybe this is fun and we get to know songs that we didn't know that much.
Everyday you can post your "Cheiron song of the day".
I start with
NSYNC - That girl will never be mine (Andreas Carlsson, Kristian Lundin, Jacob Schulze)
Why I love it: It has so much energy and the production is tight and incredibly endearing.

Backstreet Boys - We've Got It Goin' On
:) Another one of my very favorite productions by Denniz PoP. Denniz's music and production on this is amazing...the beat..the bass..the strings..The Hook!!!
Music by Denniz PoP
Lyrics by Max Martin and Herbie Crichlow
I uploaded an Instrumental version I found with backing vocals. http://youtu.be/9BEQQE4FJ7I
I think I like this better than the one with all the vocals :) wow, the chorus is basically just Andreas Carlsson with Brian and AJ, LOL!
Thanks Tommy, I love those instrumentals!

Herbie - Come Together
From the album "Fingers" recorded at Cheiron in 1995
Produced by Denniz PoP
Music by Denniz PoP
Lyrics by Herbie Crichlow and Max Martin
Backing Vocals by Jeanette Söderholm
Link : ..
:) Hey everyone. Time for my Cheiron song of the day. This is probably a lesser known track and is one of the best tracks on "Fingers". Denniz strikes again with his signature special brand of Euro reggae ...PoP :) The music has a very similar sound to his work on Ace Of Base's "The Sign" with once again (one of my favorite trademarks of his) Those Hi-Hat's!!! plus his trademark "haunting" string/pad sound.. and that great simple 3 chord progression reggae pattern that he does so well. Herbie and Max also have some very meaningful lyrics on this song and the title is self explanatory. It is all about fighting racism and separation and how people of the world should unite instead of drawing further apart. And what better way to come together than through music! Like we are all doing on this forum right now.
Also, a cool side note. This is the album where Martin Sandberg became Max Martin. Denniz said Herbie was the one who gave him the name. Here is an excerpt from an interview where they explain how this happened.......................................
***Denniz PoP Max Martin Interview***
Denniz: The first thing Martin had to do, was of course to change his name.
[Martin and Denniz Laughs]
Denniz: He just had to get a disco-name, right away. You just can't be known as Martin Sandberg. So, he became [makes a wierd voice] Meex Meertin.
[Martin and Denniz laughs]
Reporter: And after that you could speak to each other?
Denniz: Yep, exactly [laughing] then he turned normal
Martin: Yeah, then I was a part of the disco-gang all of a sudden.
Reporter: [to Denniz] I guess this was your chief concern, or ... ?
[Everybody laughs]
Martin: [to Denniz] who was it that came up with it? Was it E-type?
Denniz: No, Herbie.
Martin: Oh yeah, that's right. I came to the studio one day, and the single "Right type of mood" that we did had just arrived with the mail. And .. it was so powerful to hold this in your hand and just look at it. And it said "Produced by Denniz Pop and Max Martin". And I was like ... uhum? And who is that? and Herbie said "That, is you". I was like, "oh, ok ...?" .. and ever since I had to live with it. [laughs]
Denniz: Herbie thought it should me "Maximum Martin"
Martin: Oh, yeah. He was into those Latin disco-names?
[laughs]
Martin: But he settled for "Max" Martin eventually. And it feels alright, to have a disco name.
Denniz: yeah?
Martin: yeah!
Denniz: That's nice.
Martin: Denniz Pop? .. that's fine with me too.
[laughs]

Amazing , very interesting to read it.
Actually I like the rest of the interview even more. It's absolutely hilarious. The anecdotes about Michael Jackson, the honesty that he had to laugh while all of that happened, the honesty about turning down Aqua, and Denniz saying that they didn't have a clue sometimes. That's so bloody down to earth that it's extremely refreshing and inspiring.
thanks for sharing this, guys.
Great annecdote!
PS: I edited the download link out as it could get us into trouble.
:(
Not yet sure about my Cheiron song of the day :)
Tommy, thanks so much for that link to the interview, it was so fantastic to read and very funny too.

Ace Of Base - The Sign
I would have to say this is one of.. if not my favorite song ever. So I guess for me it's more like a 'Cheiron song of my life'. Denniz PoP's production on this track is amazing and is definitely a masterpiece. I have yet to hear a song that has a better Hi-Hat rhythm alone...Denniz was THE BEST at creating rhythmic patterns, beats, bass lines, leads, and hooks...not to mention symphony's...just listen to "One Love" here http://youtu.be/GOziDjbAvGg which he wrote and produced...
He is my musical hero.
Here is the instrumental version of The Sign http://youtu.be/YhUtgKRZGDk
And also a Dub version he made...I LOVE this version. It's just pure Denniz. http://youtu.be/pAnPaK6y4VU
Oh Yea! Thank you for reminding me of this masterpiece :)
As Cheiron as it can be. Love that very Denniz Bas Line.
ERIC SAADE - LOVE IS CALLING
I think this is the best eric saade's song.
Does Anyone know who are the writers?

Not sure how many of you have heard this one, I love it... especially the hauntingly beautiful chorus.

Great choice, I really like this song. A Swedish singer Anders Johansson covered this years later. His version is also very nice.

Funny you mention that... when I was looking up the writing/producing credits on the Maratone website tonight, I noticed it listed under Anders as well. I've never heard his version, didn't even know it existed. I'll have to hunt it down.

Jessica Folker - Tell Me What You Like
This is one of my fave's at the moment, I only came across it late last year for some reason.
My "Cheiron-related" song is "365 days" by Lutricia McNeil
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEtjedtbhjc
Heard it in the supermarket and now I'm fully infected by the catchy chorus and lovely melody.
It would have also suited Jessica Folcker.
It's by QuizLarossi.
I love that song too!
Does anyone have any memories of the first time they heard a particular Cheiron song? Max Martin has said that he tries to write songs that grab you in the first few seconds, and it's true! They make such a great first impression - so I never forget where I was or what I was doing the First Time I hear a Max Martin song!
