Recording enginner Ann Mincieli has said on her twitter that she and Max, who is currently in New York, have worked with American Idol season 4 winner, Carrie Underwood. Want to hear the new tunes soon! :D
http://twitter.com/AnntasticLV
wow, that's great. Max is busy these days! I can't wait to hear all these new songs!
It's not a bad song but I'm not loving it (at least yet).
Great you're back from holidays Sabine, I hope you had a nice time.
So, you've heard the Carrie/Max song already?
Yes I had a great time, now I got to start studying again!
But actually, my brain is still on vacation... I made a mistake and put my message in the wrong thread, I was talking about the BSB song (All in my head), I haven't heard Carrie's song, sorry. LOL :-[
haha, that's funny!
I don't like Carrie, will Max make me change my mind?
Here I found a photo of Shellback and Carrie on his MySpace
(http://c4.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/30/l_b980a9b135b14ff4a08f04e3747489f3.jpg)
I Love Carrie.. moreover she's really pretty!
oooh is max going country? =P
shellback is involved?
if so then I'm guessing they might be doing rockier type of songs for Carrie just like Before He Cheats and Last Name but this time with the aid of the pop/rock maestro !
Shellback again, with the same sweatshirt as Leona! :D
I guess max is hiding behind the camera :P
Like Feelgoodlies I don't usually like Carrie's songs, maybe the Maratone sound will make miracles...
Seeing Shellback again, he must be co-writing the songs with Max.
I really liked Before He Cheats but I don't really know her other songs. It will be really interesting to see what songs they write for Carrie, will it be a bit country? or will it be like Pink's So What?
Intresting! I'm not a country fan at all, but I had the chance to hear carrie's debut (Some hearts) I really liked alot of songs on it, it was pretty nice and she definitly has great voice so I'm excited for something new and totally fresh!
I Love Country Music! and I love carrie! ;D

Well, I wrote a message to Ann Mincieli a couple of weeks ago, asking her how it was to work with Max, and she replied it:
@Izalightblue Yes!! He is one of the BIGGEST PRODUCERS right now and always finds ways to be different and re-invent himself!! :-)
She also posted on twitter this:
Working with Max Martin and Carrie Underwood in the Studio today!! Tracked Lap N Steel and Banjo!! I got the most UNIQUE Guitar TONES!!!
So, I guess reinventing himself and playing banjo mean he could go country!
wow, some country from Max!
maybe the song that Max produces is Quitter,Shellback is listed here too :
http://www.harryfox.com/songfile/public/publicsearchresults.do?forward=drilldown&index=0
tracklisting is out and it's the 2nd track off the album..interesting
Great news, so it's JOHAN SCHUSTER, MAX MARTIN, SAVAN KOTECHA
can't wait.
I really love her new single "Cowboy Casanova" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nu32vyCldh8), I thought it has that Max/Luke in a country vibe!

I've always found carrie underwod is intresting, this song is totally Max/luke although it's not by them.
Thanks but I don't like it and I don't think it's similar to max and Luke's style.

Forget about the country melodies and focus on the beats, totally max/luke style!
oh no, I don't like this song either, very ordinary, I'm surprised it's a single. She looks good in the video though.
the beat reminds me to ''I kissed a girl'' , but the melodies are not great.
Average song....not so great for a first single.
album sampler is out, Quitter doesnt sound like Max at all.....
I liked the sample of quitter , it's the first country song of max I hear! and the melody is there although is different , so much better than the first single.
I think this is another great song.
the album has just leaked...
Quitter is a very good country song, very soft and nice... and it sounds so much good that it seems like max has always worked on this kind of music!
I'm suprissed with quitter , this song is so great !! I love it , the melodies are very nice.
I didn't like the song because I'm not a fan of country music, but I respect the genre. Yet, I hope the song will grow on me.
I absolutely love Quitter, the album itself is very good as well.
Well done Max and Carrie.
Well done Max....it will be another Hit!!!!!
The full song http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ly719ipd--E
I cant stop to listen it , the song is amazing!!
the final part where max mixes the two chorus is a materpiece!!
Max you are a genius I'll never be tired say it ;D
Very nice song. Max, are you going to make me like country?? ;D
Different sound, but i love it :)
yeah, agree, it's a really different song, I love it too!
It's a nice song, it didn't struck me as much as "Cowboy Casanova" which I thought it had that pop/rock elements Max uses!
I know I will love it as soon as I get used to it!

Okay, I've given it some thought and waited before I posted this, but not only do I absolutely love "Quitter" but it might be one of my favorite Max Martin songs ever (and I don't like country music!). It's certainly not the "Cheiron-sound" that I love and adore, but it's a fantastic song that evokes so much emotion when you listen to it.
I'm just ian so much awe that Max has taken his game to another yet another dimension. I know many of us, myself included, miss dearly the days of "s long as you love me" and "cinderella" but I can certainly listen to CDs full of "Quitter"...
::mind blown::
Quitter has the magic touch ;)
I think it will be one of the candidated of cheiron songwriters song of the year 2009.
uh oh this time it's going to be a tough choice for us to pick which songs are going to win unlike last year's predictable winner

Totally agree, gm33, this song kills me too, really touching. Affects me the same way those great Mutt Lange produced Shania Twain smashes did ("Still The One', "Forever & Always") -- I have to play it about ten times after hearing it once :D
oh, I agree, it really does have the magic touch. Definitely a contender for song of the year!
Someone please tell me how 'Quitter' wasn't picked as her next single????
ridiculous!
so, is her next single Undo It? not a bad song, but a boring choice anyway
Yes, Undo It, due to be released May 24, 2010.
It's a Kara DioGuardi so it's not a bad choice, but it's a bit too country to make it onto Top-40 radio. I think Quitter could do well on both country and top40 charts.
Do you think it could be the CDs 4th single?
It's kind of ridiculous for each artist who worked with Max chooses his song as a single. that's an obvious wanna-be successful call.
I just think some musicians can stand on their own without having to release a song by a hot producer, thing is with Carrie, that she is an album seller rather than a single seller, country fans are interested more in albums as a whole.
True, Carrie is more of an album seller, it possibly doesn't even matter which single is released.
I would love it if Max did a country song with a Shania-styled stomp/strut :P
God I miss Shania :'(
I miss Shania too, Carrie is pretty good, but she's no Shania.

What an anthem.

No Max Martin involvement on the next release.
But there's a Jason Evigan cowrite and a Leland cowrite.
