Starships will be released next monday ;D
This will be Rami's biggest shot to the american stardom as a songwriter since his departure from Maratone.

It sounds great! , I never thought i loved a nicki minaj song!
Where is "Starships"??
The Dr Luke song is pretty nice !
Well done Luke,I love your song!!!!!
"Starships" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FDeDdH4fOyI
Quite Domino/Your Love Is My Drug-sounding and I really like it!
Thanks for posting, will listen later. ;)
Nice, apparently Rami & RedOne worked together on this one...
Going to be a big hit. Very catchy.
This is gonna be huge. Carl said him and Rami co-produced and the mixed the song as well.
Rami, Carl, and Wayne wrote this only a few weeks ago! And RedOne should not get even 10% of credit on this song, all he did was tag his name and make a few changes, stupid politics.
It sounds Amazing!! , so poppy , Well done guys , I hope it be a great hit.

Wow, very interesting :o
It's annoying how people now say like "best RedOne track since xx"
Rami is by far the bigger name and bigger producer - they don't need RedOne.
Do you know if Rami has written more with Wayne Hector? Wayne is a big name too.
Well, maybe RedOne was just a song doctor in this case, which guarantees him a credit on it.
We have read before about how Max does this, we suspected about his role in Domino.
Even though, the song is awesome. It has RAMI-CHEIRON written all over it.
I'm interested in hearing more about "We have read before about how Max does this"... where can I read about it? :)
Starships is a bit annoying to me, I'm not a fan of Nicki Minaj, but I hope it does really well for Rami.

I think it's with the song "Dynamite", dr Luke sent it to Max to write the hook (I can't remember where I read it),
I'm sure there's been other examples, I'll try to think of them, maybe someone else might know??
but hooks are a very important element of a song. A good song without hooks might not be successful. So I think he rightfully got credits for it. And if RedOne made anything like that with Starships, then he should be credited too. The question is if it's an equal-split of royalties too.
BTW Dr LUKE has three songs on the record
Va Va Voom, Masquerade and Forever
And I think the discussion about credits is highly interesting.

"Young Forever" is a great song. Probably going to be a radio smash..

oh absolutely, the hook is the most important part of the song, because that's what gets stuck in your brain.
I think Max was also brought in as a "song-doctor" for A-ha's "Analogue" too.
Is it just me or... I'm not really blown away by this song. Sure, it fits the current style of songs, but seriously now.. during the chorus you can easily sing the background-"ooooh-oh-oh-ohohohooh"-parts from the Max' Till The World Ends chorus. This is too bloody close, guys. I would never have dared to do something THIS close with Till The Worlds Ends being out there. I mean, I can understand if someone writes a song and another guy comes up and says "dude, this is close to that song by band X from 1982", or something like this. But Till The World Ends was super-exposed, so they sure know what they did with Starships. It's not even obscured very well.
Overall the song works, and I'm expecting this to climb to the Billboard top 3.
Right now I quite like it too. And apparently they wrote another song for Nicki :o

Here's the sampler: http://perezhilton.com/2012-03-21-nicki-minaj-roman-reloaded-sampler-listen-march-2012#.T2ovCdkw1dg
Based on the Carl Falk tweets, I guess, Pound The Alarm, brings the Kinglet dudes back.
Now, If you check out RedOne's credits on the album (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RedOne_production_discography) he's involved too in Pound The Alarm and other tracks.
Hope, Rami & Carl collaborate on them too.
The songs in the final sound amazing , I guess are By Rami and RedOne.
Album leaked , RedOne songs are amazing!
The Redone 's song are just crazy! the sound production are.... MAgiccccccccccccccccc!
Pound the alarm is really an amzing track.
Nice to see that the great background vocalist Jeanette Olsson is back and that Carl Falk sings in the background :)
Very great collaborations.

I liked the tracks, Carl and Rami seem to add new tricks to their music, I love the adds they do to their songs i.e. the "twinkle twinkle little star" and the background music of that part in Starships! I just loved it when a melody gets changed liked that.
My favourite so far is definitely "Automatic" it's amazing!
wow, fancy there being 2 Max Martin tracks! great news.
I love Va Va Voom.
Yeah, Masquerade is very like Kesha.
Great songs!!! , I like both.
Simply AMAZING! I'm not really a rap fan, but the RedOne/Luke/Max tracks are fantastic. How are these tracks even on the same album as the first 6 tracks?!
By the way, why is Max's publisher being listed as MXM AB? Usually it's Maratone Publishing (ASCAP) (adm. by Kobalt Music Publishing Looks like MXM was used on Teenage Dream and Domino, too.
MXM I'm guessing is sort for MaX Martin. AB means registered company in Sweden, right? So is this a new company of his?
that's an interesting question actually!
Va Va Voom is great. Very very catchy but of course, it is a Max Song. This is going to be a great couple of weeks with new Max/Luke songs from Nicki Minaj, B.o.B and Adam Lambert. :D
Nice acoustic cover of "Pound the alarm"
Sung by Lauren Dyson who wrote with Jörgen and is signed at his label Perfect Storm

In this acoustic version you can apreciate best the great melodies!
And another great version of "Starships" sung by a very talented girl at X-Factor
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZnjoYUDzRig
Loving that arrangement.
Apparently this is the demo to "Starships" sung by Mohombi....
Don't know if it's true.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u3heZ-Yn_LQ
Such a great melody/title/lyrics, this demo how strong the basic song is! :-)
wow, interesting. it's great.
I like this version just as much. Even if Nicki's verses are more interesting, it's the chorus that counts with this song, and I think it works just as well here.
It's so amazing to read how you guys are discussing about the credits or the like!!! I've been searching for people like you to talk about exactly these things! I'm so happy I found this forum!! :)
Carl Falk talked about this song on the Swedish STIM-expo last year and it was intentionally written for a band called "Cobra Starship" but they didn't want it ( i guess they regret that now:P)
And the guy singing in the demo is actually Wayne Hector who wrote it together with Carl and Rami, not mohombi as the youtube-link says.
Somehow Redone became involved, but i don't think he did much more than getting Nicki Minaj to sing it (she wrote the verses herself) even though he has production and writer credit. But i'm not entirely sure.
I've also heard that there has been problems with the writers-split on it, and if that's the case they won't get any money for it until they've settled on a split :-\
Interesting.
Where do you guys "hear" such stuff? I'm amazed. :)

There was a bug in the STIM registraion-system a while back where every publishing-company in sweden could se the split or every song in the system. :P
Interesting! Btw, does the order of the writers in a song always reflect the share of the writers? So first named did most?
And how do producer earn money when they are not involved in the songwriting? Do they get a fixed amount per song?
Wayne Hector has a great voice, like lost of the stuff he did.

I'm not entirely sure, but i don't think so. Maybe on ascap, if the names aren't in alphabetical order.
As i have understood, it's kind of an unwritten rule to split equally between the basic cowrite members in the room. But when big artists with big egos gets involved the splits gets complicated.
It used to be mostly common that the producer get a one-time-fee for the production (the tracks) but nowadays i think many producer gets royalties also. :)
Yes, Wayne Hector is great! :D
I think traditionally writing credits were ordered by contribution, and to some degree I believe they still are. But I think there can be a bit of "put the biggest writers first". Like, for example, Luke getting the first writing credit on One Direction's "Rock Me", when he wasn't even involved in the writing process. It was all down to his creation of the beat which became an important ingredient to the feel of the track. Enough to pull in lead writing credit though?
I remember hearing John Mayer say (joking or not I'm not sure) that he had writing credits on songs he didn't work on. The same is supposedly true for the Backstreet Boys ("Time" is credited to some of the guys when it apparently shouldn't have been).
But I've definitely seen credits showing main writers first, and additional contributors following.
Interesting cover:

Lindsey and Megan do 'Starships'
What is this?
It's a cover of 'Starships', the Nicki Minaj tune.
No seriously what is this.
ONLY THE GREATEST MISSED OPPORTUNITY OF A B*WITCHED SINGLE OF ALL TIME.

Well that was really cool, more fun than the original too. Lindsey & Megan could just be the next Megan & Liz! :D
how is this cover interesting? it's the original in bad in my book. Therefore I don't get the following comment on youtube: thanks for making this song listenable. ???

Well it's nowhere near as polished as Nicki's, but for a YouTube cover it's done really well. What I like about it most is the light pop approach, even the replacement of the synth instrumental part with the violins (very B*Witched like Pop Justice mentioned) . That comment on YouTube is obviously from someone who doesn't like Nicki, or her style of rap. I personally prefer the less in your face vocal from the cover too, and overall they've put a lot of effort into the video which I also enjoyed more than seeing Nicki with wigs on standing in the ocean.
I like the violin too and it gives the song something authentic.
She's against vaccines.
She's a prime example of the toxic celebrity-world culture getting to your head. That and maybe she always had some underlying personality distortions and unresolved trauma. Giving me Kanye levels of narcissism. It's sad because I love her 2012-2015 music and she's just been a complete clown these days.
