sounds great. The only thing I don't like is this whirly synth that still keeps going while you throw in the lovely chords in the front. The rest is bliss. Immediately makes me whistle melodies.. I love the drums in the last part too.
Thanks and I agree, I'm re-making that track and taking off that synth completely. I initially wanted to make a trap beat, but it kinda went in another direction lol.
Here's another one

Nexus very jealous of your work.
Awesome, I like your music
Thanks guys, I'll post more stuff with time. Maybe a couple of demos with hummed melodies :)
your sound design game is on top but I don't like most of the progressions / melodies. they're not bad but I would change them a bit. matter of taste :)
keep up the fantastic work!!

I like to try to replicate sounds that I like. I'd like to clean up my sound, my synths sound too dirty sometimes. It's important to be original too, a lot of people over-use certain sounds and always the same way.
ur right
really really close to Usher's "Scream", sir. :) Even if the melody is slightly different, the style of the synth really pushes for the comparison. I was waiting for Usher to come in with his usual "Ushaaaa ushaaaaaaa". :)
I'm guessing you had this in mind though.
i think benny blanco tweeted about you
Yo man I like your ideas for sure, keep it up!

Daaamn, love this. Love the stronger beat in the "chorus," along with the chord progression. Kind of ethereal and uplifting, I can see it. Really digging your work.
Thanks guys, just trying to get some feedback and hopefully spread some inspiration around :)

really like the first part, sounds like a jam for Chris Brown or Brandy, but I don't like the doubletime part. it just doesn't fit the mood
I agree with Benny, it cuts the mood.
And I don't like the Roland hihat, but sounds great.
I think the double time part is a good idea, but it would work better as a build up to something bigger with the slow part. Thanks for the feedback guys.
sounds good

I really like your work! Keep on it! How did you create that clap sound in this song? https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/53tohuci5h76wuo/Jamz%20Bonne%20nuit.mp3
Amazing sounding J, all you need now is a topliner!
Thanks guys, I'm gonna put out a couple of remixes soon. I'm working really hard because I want a publishing deal.
@Rex It's like 3 layered claps and one tonal percussion sample. One clap has more body, the other is more white-noisy and longer, the other one is shorter and I place it just the before the attack. The percussion sample is to make it more unique (tune it to the key of your beat). Then I eq them, use the transient designer plug in on the whole thing to bring out the attack, a touch of distortion for more color and I send it to a short reverb bus that has a warm tape effect to make it sound bigger.
Try to avoid vengeance samples and other "EDM" sample packs. Try to cut drums from your favorite producers/songs and make them sound like your own.
Thanks for the tips! btw, do you use pro-tools?

Sounds a little too harsh to my ears, but thats just details -other than that I think it's great work.

Thank you for the feedback. I think so too, only with time and work my mixing will get better.
I'm sure you'll get a publishing deal, all you need to do is keep working on your craft -you're doing a great job- and try to make "songs"... it's easier that way.

Oh yeah I'm doing pop stuff/writing too, but it's more challenging to do stuff like this for me. Right now I'm just focusing on being really productive and lately I'm finding more inspiration away from pop music.
Here's a remix I'm working on, just a basic layout

how does one begin the process of achieving a publishing deal? are lots of people trying to get one? is it competitive?
hmm...

You just send stuff to the right people and work really hard at being the best. It helps to go to Hollywood and meet people in the industry. And a lot of people are trying to get publishing deals, but just as many are trying to do their own thing on the independent platform. It really depends on what you want to accomplish in music. It is competitive, but you just gotta focus on being really good.
If you're really at the top of your game, it's not as hard to get inside.
