This could be the Max song?

QuoteUSA Today confirmed that the lead single is produced by Max Martin and will be released early next year. So we must be ready!
It could be.
Based only on assumptions, this could be like the "down chorus" on Ariana's Problem.
a 5-second snippet. wow

a 5-second snippet. wow
It's called a teaser! I really hate teasers!
Savan added "Nobody love" to his wikipedia site, so it's basically sure that also Max was involved.
A longer 15-sec snippet: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10152654269388603&id=34703638602&_rdr
"Kelly co-wrote "Nobody Love" alongside Rickard Goransson and Max Martin, the Swedish songwriter and producer who has ruled the Billboard Hot 100 for over a decade with a string of No. 1 singles for Britney Spears, Katy Perry, P!nk, and Taylor Swift, to name a few. "When I went in to work with Max, the first thing he said was, 'I want to make the song that you want.' He wasn't trying to force-feed me anything. It was very collaborative. He asked me what I thought about every single decision. That's why so many artists like working with him, because he really pulls out your style and polishes it up and makes it easy for people to digest."

btw that snippet sounds like the end of the song, after the last chorus
It sounds a bit like Problem: the drums and the chorus breakdown.
It indeed sounds like "Problem" in the way its constructed.
I don't know but Max started to get boring and most of the stuff he produces lately don't sound instant or catchy they more of growers, at least to me.

It has leaked. My expectations were too high, I still don't feel this song
I didn't like it either.
The song have some interesting moments -the chord progression, the vocal performance- but it doesn't work as a whole piece for me.
I like it! Really breezy in the verses.
Reminds me a bit of a Natasha Bedingfield song. Can totally imagine this doing well on radio.
Edit: OMG that last chorus, how the horns explode in with the full instrumentation. YES, brings it home! Love this track. Catchy and she's got some pipes.
sure, it does sound like Problem. I really like it too, I think it's really catchy as well.
Omg! This is such a burst of glittering joy. And what an interesting build in the production... The final section is soooo glorious.
Way better than Problem.

lol yeah, it sounds a lot like These Words!
ok, so Max wanted to make a song that Tori wants too and in the end it sounds like Natasha Bedingfield feat. Ariana Grande
If this is true - amazing!!

Martin also serves as executive producer on her upcoming full-length debut. The new single is described as "breath of fresh air to sing".

Yeah he was also executive producer on maroon's V but he didn't produce or write in any of the songs
Song is officially out now! So far only in the US.
Official songwriting/producer credits?
Reminds me of Jessie J.
Good record. Don't think it will be a big hit.
In a Jennifer Lopez's First Love kind of way.
On second listen, like it even more. This song can't rely on the artist's name so it will interesting to see how it does.

Yeah the verses kinda sound like price tag
#33 on the Billboard Pop Charts. Not bad for her debut.
Tori tweeted:

I finally heard this song. It's absolutely phenomenal! How is this not a bigger hit? Four weeks on the charts and only #74?!
i love it. What's her background?

Because it's not an instant catch pop song.

Because it's not an instant catch pop song.
Or because she's generally a brand new artist
A good song is the best way to establish yourself nowadays.
It's a good song, but it doesn't grab you right away.
There are some interesting questions here, so I will attempt to give my two cents.
"Nobody Love" is currently #17 on Top 40 radio, with over 5000 spins. That's a super good position for a new artist. So I would say that it is clearly a radio hit at this point, and it appears it will keep rising in the foreseeable future. It also jumped from #74 to #68 on Hot 100, which is likely due to a bump in radio spins.
In determining a song's success, we have to consider what it means to have a radio hit and a Billboard hit and the difference between the two. Radio simply takes into account how many spins the song is getting per week. Radio is a huge indicator of success and Billboard uses it to calculate chart position. Besides radio, Billboard also takes into account streaming and sales. "Nobody Love" is being driven heavily by it's radio position on the Hot 100, and looking at the numbers, second by streaming and last by sales. There is a certain balance that billboard uses to calculate this formula where a higher charting song will probably sit closer to 40% sales, 35% radio and 25% streaming. Given her position on Top 40 radio, and given that her digital sales are middle of the road, I'd venture to say that #68 on the chart means that it being driven mainly by radio position.
So all of that is to say that her streaming and sales numbers are not great at the moment and that is what's stopping a bigger hit. I would say that because she's a new artist, it's a bit more difficult to have success in the sales department. I think sales these days are being dominated by the more established artists. I think hits for new artists will be driven more by radio and streaming. Remember also that she has a big team behind her with a big budget, and that can be used to get more radio and streaming, but you can't force sales. You can argue that it's because the song isn't that great and if it was better it would be a bigger hit. That is a reasonable argument, but it's not always that simple. I do however think if a song is a true, undeniable #1 smash, you won't look at all these variables as closely and the song will take on a life of its own. I don't think "Nobody Love" is that kind of song, but I think it's a strong debut.
My personal prediction is that this song has a real shot at cracking Top 40 Billboard, but that will depend on two key things: a) how much more money her team will pump into radio and promotion to keep the song going (this is a critical point because sometimes songs in this chart position die because labels don't push them enough thinking they'll survive on their own), and b) how strong her team's strategy is (it's Scooter Braun, so I think there's a lot of smarts there).
Hopefully this gives some of you a little bit more insight and info on the charts. As always, just my opinion and you are welcome to add your thoughts to it.
Absolutely agree with you.
We don't have to reduce everything to numbers.
From an artistic point of view, I think this is not working.
I'll give her a chance, though.

Not that I disagree with you, but the music business does. That's just that way it works. Aesthetics and artistry are honestly very low on the "give a shit" scale.
Yep, I know.
We agree, so we're cool ;)

We are cool for sure. I wish it was more about the song sometimes, but I do agree that great songs will always have success. I guess we'll have to wait and see how this plays out!
Thank you for your detailed analysis Sweetmelody, I agree with you.
I'm sure Scooter Braun will push this song as much as he can. I like the song, it is very catchy but it's hard for new artists sometimes. Hopefully it will do well.
According to ASCAP there's a new (Benny, watch out ;)) CHEIRON song for Tori's upcoming album:
"Expensive"
(written by Alexander Kronlund / Savan Kotecha / Tori Kelly / Joleen Belle / Lukas Loules / Nataliya Phillips)
There's also a new song, "City Dove", co-written by Ilya. Maybe we're lucky and Max had his hands on the production.
^ YAAAAAY
Cool information. Lukas Loules is "Lukas Hilbert", great Max works again with him.

It doesn't actually. Would've been a bad production move.
Just different approaches.

I heard the album. Nothing special to me.
The Max Martin songs are just average.
Nobody Love, Should've Been Us and Falling Slow are pretty amazing pop songs. Rest Of the album: pretty boring. Not surprisingly, the swedes deliver once again.
It's a tough time to be a new artist. You really need a KILLER #1 type record to break through. Look at Tori and Nobody Love. Killer team, major label support, best writers and producers, lot's of buzz, and a huge budget. What did it bring? Only minor success so far.
Totally uninteresting production - drum loops that go on and on, did someone actually think this was the sound of summer 2015? :o
The girl has got a nice voice, just pity about the music

She s talented no doubt, love her voice but the album is hit and miss for me and as a whole doesn't make much sense, I still have no clue who she is or what she stands for after listening to it. Kinda bland in the end.
Album is new at #2 in the US. That's quite fantastic and well deserved.
The single didn't climb higher than #60 though.
Weird situation, because you can be a top 3 without a hit.
Album fell down to #20.
